We help kids in grades 2 – 12 understand math by teaching the way that makes sense to them, for enrichment or remediation.

History

Established in 2016.

The first Mathnasium opened in Los Angeles in 2002 based on decades of work in math education by Larry Martinek. It has grown to over 650 locations in North America. Mathnasium of Tri-​Cities is one of four in the Metro Vancouver area.

Graham Hearn opened this location in 2016 after years of experience in math and language education and being inspired by the Mathnasium Method and the results it produces.

Meet the Business Owner

Graham H.

Business Owner

Graham was born in Newfoundland and studied at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Waterloo, graduating in 2004. He has taught students of all ages and managed learning centres in Canada and Brazil. He developed an interest in democratic education as a place where students can fully enjoy the institution of learning, much like the confidence, results, and fun created at Mathnasium. He has lived in six countries on five continents and speaks French and Portuguese. He is married to Luana since 2011.
