Closed Loop Auto Care

Found this looking for a mobile auto-​detailing provider and came upon Andrew and Closed Loop. I instantly liked how he does his work: to minimize the effect on the environment in all that he does.
I emailed him to request a interior car seat shampoo as some organic had gotten onto the seat, and wanted to make sure my car didn’t smell of burger for the rest of the year. He quickly responded and noted what he could provide to help with the situation. As with a mobile service, just doing the spot shampoo would not have been worth it for him to come out from Surrey, so we agreed to do a full exterior /​interior clean (the car had never been given a good interior clean since we got it 4 – 5 years ago). We were able to set up an appointment quickly and were good to go.
On the day of, Andrew was a bit late from the agreed upon time, but thankfully I was working from home that day so it wasn’t a big deal. We have an underground parkade with a designated car wash spot, and so Andrew set up his tool boxes there. I gave him the keys and let him at his work, but he would give me text message updates on progress and on any choices I had for the services (air freshener, cleaning agent, etc.). Very thorough and detailed service.
Included in the exterior clean was Andrew using a wax/​paste substance that minimizes the visibility of minor surface scratches, so that was awesome, as it gave the car a much cleaner and finished appearance. BONUS!
All in all, after all that, it was $ 144 for a interior clean, seat shampoo, car exterior wash and scratch paste «hider». And this from the comfort of home. Definitely a huge plus if you are a bit busier and can’t be bothered to get out to a detail shop and leave it there.
