I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Back in the day, it was split into 2 sections. One section was a dive bar that I wasn’t allowed to go into. The other side was an old school diner. Today it’s just one big family restaurant. They have lots of regulars. I feel like most of their business is from people who have been coming here for 20 years. I don’t live in Cambridge now, but I come here every time I’m in town. Portions are huge. A small order of fries, for example, is just massive. I like the wings. And chicken fingers. But everything is good. But I really like the wings. They’re among the best wings that I’ve ever had. They have many amazing flavours, and they’re nice and big. Stop by on Sundays — and I think Tuesdays — for wing specials.

A friend and I were at the TSC Stores across the road when I mentioned to him that I was getting hungry. Neither if us new Cambridge all that well. He asked were I wanted to go and I said how about that place across the street. He hemmed and hawed a bit and I think had a franchised type restaurant in mind which to me are all starting to be the same. I know from my experience snowmobiling through small towns in Ontario & Quebec that the places that are busy with the locals are reliably the place to go for good food and good value. This place was no exception. Being a city guy I always feel a little awkward walking into these kind of places as I usually get a two or three«what are you doing here» kind of glances from some of the regulars(Men mostly unfortunately. After they realize I’m not there to steal their seats or women everything’s usually good… lol). Our waitress was lighthearted and had a great sense of humour. She worked hard too. I had a hankering for Fish and chips, I can’t remember what my buddy ordered. As we sipped on our draught beers I noticed the people at the table across the isle from us where served a plate with something massive on it. As their waitress walked back past us I called her over and said«that isn’t your hamburger plater is it?». «Yes it is!» she replied. I couldn’t believe it, there was no way I could eat that in one sitting. When our orders arrived it was the same deal with our food — massive, and very tasty I might add. I wound up taking half of mine home and made a meal out of it the next evening! My buddy couldn’t finish his plate either. Anyhow I definitely recommend this place if you’re hungry, a food lover and don’t mind a country style pub atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town. Cheers!

OMG, I love the chicken wings here. We go to Cambridge semi-frequently, and this place is definitely somewhere I like to stop. I don’t know why the chicken wings are really really large, but I guess I can’t complain. They also have good specials some days… like 49cent wings on tuesdays and sundays? Delish! and highly recommended.
