For a $ 12 dinner buffet, it was worth it. Service was decent, not hovering. Food warm and good variety. My favourite dish(beef roghan josh) wasn’t available, but a vegetable alternative was quite good. There was a sign on the door that beef dishes were not available at the buffet, but could be ordered separately for take out, not sure what’s up with that. I’ve been to Fusion half a dozen times since they opened. My overall impression is that they are struggling to provide a buffet in an area that doesn’t do well for restaurants. if they opened elsewhere(Kitchener or Waterloo maybe), business would improve.

Lukewarm food, chicken tandoori and mint chicken bloody and raw near the bone. This restaurant has seriously gone downhill recently. If there are 3 – 4 customers seated, that’s about it and it’s obvious why! The food sits for hours(maybe days for all we know) and none of the staff bothers to stir it to keep it hot, so imagine the bacteria count. Yes, we ate there recently, I should say, we didn’t eat after trying the food and finding it almost cold. Still one nasty case of food poisoning later… :-(So sorry to see this restaurant going down this way. It used to be a favourite, but never again. If you eat there, make sure you order fresh made food. Forget the toxic buffet. It just isn’t worth the risk.

Well, the food was almost cold. At best lukewarm and a breeding ground for bacteria and food poisoning. We complained to the waitress who brought out the cook? manager? who proceeded to argue that we must have taken the food from the top of the bins without stirring it and taking it from the bottom! I’m sorry but is that the customers job to keep the food stirred and hot or the staff? He argued loudly, and for some time, that he had had no other complaints(and no other customers! apart from one elderly couple who had not gotten past the soup and salad!!) the place was empty at prime time 6:15 pm on a Sunday evening. So, plates of food we refused to eat and this person screaming that we had to pay for it when we gave up and tried to leave! well, we paid and tomorrow I will tell MC to cancel that payment! I have just written a formal complaint to the region’s health department, restaurant inspections BEWARE! Between the bad food handling where it sits all day at room temperature from lunchtime to dinner and the half raw chicken that can kill you, find somewhere else to eat!

OMG yummy. My husband and I love Indian food but have been hard pressed to find a good one in our area. Or search is over! Fusion has a wonderful selection of curries and beautiful fresh naan. The tandoori chicken is amazing. Inexpensive too. Almost half the price of comparable Indian buffet. Truly amazing!

The atmosphere isn’t anything to write home about but who cares when the food is this good and this affordable. Incredible service and friendly staff. This place is a gem. Incredibly good value for your money, you can’t go wrong.

I had dinner here yesterday while passing through Cambridge and I was pleasantly surprised! Great variety of meat and veg dishes. Great nan, and a dedicated fruit station! Wonderful value, I am still full today.

The Synopsis? It’s a decent place to grab some«indian-esque» food for a resonable price but expect watered down main dishes. The Long Story? This place is big! Much bigger than I would expect for an Indian restaurant in Cambridge Ontario. The market here is pretty small so I hope they don’t fail simply because their footprint is large. I came here with a couple of co-workers after hearing about a new Indian restaurant opening in downtown Preston. The last new restaurant that opened across the street failed(as I had expected) simply because they didn’t cater to the market. This one has a much better chance of surviving. We opted for the lunch buffet($ 8.99 + tax — I paid $ 12 inlcuding the government cut and a small tip). There is a lot of choice — there were several vegetarian and meat appetizers, several veg and meat main curries, a salad bar, the dessert bar and fresh naan. I filled up a plate and then went back for another little bit with a small bowl of fruit and a touch of kheer(rice pudding) for dessert. The tandoori chicken was good — you can choose white or dark meat — it’s all in the same dish. The flavour was great and the meat tender and moist. I was impressed this chicken came from a chaffing dish at a buffet. The naan was good(fluffy and moist), the salad options fresh and crisp, and the dessert was resonable. From there things started to go downhill. I tried out 4 of the main dishes: 1) Saag — the most authentic of the main dishes 2) Beef Roghan Josh — the meat was dry and flaky and the curry was watered down and lacking in the flavour department 3) Chicken Kharai — the whole dish was overcooked(the peppers were all mashed up) however the chicken was still ok on its own. 4) Lamb Vindaloo — there was very little of the kick I’ve come to expect from a Vindaloo. It was marked as being extra spicy but definitely wasn’t. If I were to come back, I’d go with the $ 6.99+tax to go container, fill it to the rim with the tandoori chicken and head for the door.

If I could go to the buffet every week, I would! It’s so inexpensive for all you can eat. It was an all around great experience. I heard of this place by word of mouth, and figured that a buffet full of foods I’d never tried before would be so amazing. I was very pleased!!! We got 3 rounds of food plus dessert. There isn’t much of a dessert selection, but I preferred to fill up on all of their other food anyways.
