I bought a deal on dealfind for a 2 hour lawn care package. I called and left a number. They returned the phone call saying I had to book online which I did. The appointment wasn’t for about 5 weeks later. I automatically received a confirmation email. Well they never showed up. I called numerous times to see if they were running late or what’s going on and everytime it automatically went to music then voicemail. This is the second time I have bought a deal from dealfind and the lawn care people don’t show up. This is so frustrating to find an honest, reputable, quality business. Do they even exist anymore and also without over charging you?

I noticed a barrage of this business on Dealfind/etc. so I thought I’d check them out. The prices on their website are EXACTLY the same as the what their«discounted» stuff is(regular $ 199 for $ 45, but if you purchase it from the website it’s $ 45 anyway). I expect these discounted things to be lower quality service(though a smart business would use this as an opportunity to do a GOOD job and be used again and again after…) but if I’m paying the full price anyway, I’d expect a bit more quality & professionalism. I paid for a 1.5 hour lawn care package. I went to book online, and was happy at the ease of use of the online booking system. I saw a time slot(4:30pm-6:00pm) that worked for me. Got an automated confirmation e-mail right away, with no further instructions, the appointment wasn’t for almost a month. The day of, I got three missed calls from a number I didn’t recognize, one with a rude voicemail informing me that they would be at my place right away. What time was it? Just before 1:30pm. I call back and they informed me that there was no way in @#(* that I could have an appointment booked the time I expected them, as it just wasn’t possible. I went to verify my confirmation e-mail and the website and found out that they were completely wrong, and that my appointmenet was indeed for 4:30pm-6:00pm. I told them I couldn’t be home until later, and they told me they would be able to do my lawn anyway, since I have a «tiny house» and a «tiny lawn» in an obviously condescending tone. My lawn work was OK, because they mowed it, that’s why it doesn’t get 1 star. But all the things I had got included in my «deal»(all the additional stuff they claimed to do — weed removal, etc.) was either not done, or done poorly. I happened to have someone home at the time that told me that my «1.5» hours amounted to just under 30 minutes, but I guess that makes sense for my «tiny» lawn. Definitely would not return! The grass stayed short for longer(they cut it shorter than I normally do), but the weeds returned in full force anyway. I can pay the neighborhood kid to mow my lawn for $ 5, I don’t need the unprofessionalism and $ 45 price tag for the same work.
