Sunridge Mazda

Bought my car there… that was fine. Went in for annual service. Was not informed of the price ahead of time. Was told there would be a discount. When the discount wasn’t applied I gave them my credit card number to credit the difference. Stupid me gave the person I spoke to the security number (which isn’t required offline) only to have $ 2000 of fraudulent charges on my card the next day. Strange coincidence??? Made me very leery of their business practices.

My girlfriend and I bought our first car here in 2012 a Mazda 3 with the new Skyactiv technology.
Salesman was great with explaining everything and giving us a test drive without him having to come with us which was something I wasn’t use to.
After finalizing the deal and our credit checks came back (We didn’t have the greatest credit rating at the time.) The guys at the dealership negotiated with the bank to let the deal go through. (We just had to put a little more money down up front, which we had anyway). This made us feel like they really wanted to get us this car and really cared.
The reason I gave this rating a 4 star and not a 5 is the lack of colour options they had for the car. They only had Grey, Black and Graphite. (We took Graphite). We would have loved a nice Blue or Red and now we see them everywhere.
We have always taken our car in to the dealership for servicing and have had no issues. Servicing is usually reasonably priced and is usually done within a decent time frame.
The dealership is always nice and clean and I don’t mind spending my time waiting there checking out the newest line of Mazda vehicles.
If they keep up the great service, We will most likely stay with these guys going forward and buy our next vehicle here too.

Don’t ever buy a used car from Sunridge Mazda. It didn’t matter to them that we were long time Mazda customers about to purchase our fourth vehicle from them, they treated us like dirt.
We traded in our leased vehicle to purchase a used Landover. The day AFTER we took possession of the Landrover, they proceeded to call us to say we didn’t disclose an accident on the trade in (which we did AND they had done the work on the car when the accident happened AND they had the trade in for three days to look it and it’s history over prior to agreeing to the trade in). They proceeded to charge us for tire replacements on the trade in AND withdraw one months lease payment on the car we had already given back! We still haven’t had that money refunded. Finally, when we went to pay the registration on the newly purchased used Landrover, we were told the vehicle was never given it’s out of province inspection. FYI — I found out later it is illegal for a dealership to sell a used car without disclosing the vehicle hadn’t been inspected.
Stay far away from this dealership. We will never go back there and probably will never buy a Mazda again due to the way we were treated.

After a very negative adventure with Crowfoot Village Honda, I have nothing but good things to say about my dealing with Sunridge Mazda. The salesman was firm but fair, and didn’t seem pushy at all. My favourite thing about my car-​buying experience was that I didn’t have a closer come in and try to push up the cost or ignore the concessions I had negotiated. It was salesman, business manager, done.
They even managed to pull some strings (or at least they made it seem that way) to get my car in the exact colour I wanted from another dealership — all before the week was up.
After driving my car for about a week now, I am extremely happy with my purchase. Mazda will certainly be a front-​runner the next time I need to buy a car.

There has to be no worse feeling than having your car written off by someone else, leaving you no choice but to spend money you really didn’t have on another one. I know this personally, as last September this is what happened to me.
Some *lovely* person that wasn’t paying attention drove into the side of my fifteen year old Dodge Neon. Now if anyone knows anything about anything, you will know that a fifteen year old Dodge Neon isn’t even worth a down payment on another car, literally.
Stressed, frustrated and emotional, I searched through every Mazda dealership in Calgary (I have a long standing crush on the Mazda3, and was hoping to upgrade, however on my own time!) Do you know how hard it is car shopping as a young female? No one takes you seriously or gives you their time of day, and this was the experience I had at every dealership I visited, one where the salesperson even spoke over me to my boyfriend, who, might I add, was NOT buying the car.
However, one dark and chilly September evening, with no other place to go, I found myself wandering the Sunridge Mazda parking lot. Not ten minutes after arriving, Jessica, a very lovely saleperson, came out to offer assistance. We were looking at two different cars that we had seen listed online previously, and she let us take each for a test drive. We looked through them thoroughly, looked at the paperwork, and decided on one. We came back the next day to take the car for another test drive, this time in daylight, and decided that he was the one for me. We settled the paperwork quickly and efficiently and I took my newly cleaned, shampooed and serviced Mazda home two days later.
I have had it for five months now, and love every second I spend in it. I would recommend this dealership, and this salesperson, if anyone was in the Mazda market.
They did, however, lose one star because they were a little confused as to the details of the vehicle. The picture shown online was a different photo, and listed the car as having heated seats, which is does not, and the paperwork I received with the car states that it has a 6-​CD changer, which it does not. Other than those two small details, everything else has been great!
