I had to revamp this review and add another star due to the overall super friendly staff and accurate, fast service. Everytime I go into this Starbucks(which is pretty much everyday) they are always fast, efficient and just create good drinks. Some of the barista’s even know me by name… and well, it’s nice that they remember! I will say that since it’s owned by Sunterra the major downside is that you cannot use your free Starbucks drinks and I don’t think they don’t offer free Starbucks Wi-Fi. *sad face* Another then that, I have to say this is my starbucks of choice when downtown.

Clean Starbucks in the TransCanada Building. Located on the corner of 1 St SW and 4 Ave SW, directly across from Fifth Avenue Place and also across from Sunlife building. I bought a Mocha Light Frapuccino and it was great on a warm sunny day! I also bought a Mocha Fapuccino for a friend of mine but they forgot the order. We had to wait for a bit but they apologized for their tardiness.

Starbucks, the iconic coffee shop of the hip young professional. They are everywhere these days, but they must be doing something right to keep expanding even in the economic turmoil of the past few years. I was at this location today and was immediately struck with how clean and«cool» it was. Maybe that was because of the location. It is located in the revitailzed Victoria Park area of downtown. New clubs, new stores and new blood have made this area something that I believe will become a hot spot in the next few years. So, onto the starbucks. I was greeted by a young good looking kid who was helpful and cheerful, cant ask for more than that. I ordered a Shaken Tea Lemonade… lite ice. As usual, nothing was a problem, and the barista was friendly and made my drink with care. One thing I like about SB is that there is consistency. Perhaps that is due to the bevy of scoops cups and measuring things back there, but for me the consumer I like consistency. That is the secret of many successful chains eg mcdonalds. The décor inside is relaxed, trendy with lots of good spots to see and be seen. As well they have seating outside… today was Stampede ParadeDay and there was lots to see. Starbucks may be pricey, but in the end you are paying for more than coffee… you are paying for trend, atmosphere and the feeling that you have treated yourself. Check this one out… it is a nice SB for sure.
