My favourite coffee spot! Service is great! Always welcoming and accommodating. Excellent coffee without the Starbucks price. My fave: latte with extra shot.
They have a good selection of snacks and sandwiches. Also, bulk coffee and accessories for sale.
A «must stop» on the High Street!

The employees at this location are always friendly, efficient, and make delicious coffee! they consistently remember frequent customer’s orders from day-​to-​day and really make you feel like part of the community.

Coffee & Choices!
I like coffee… actually, I LOVE coffee. I’m not a coffee snob… in other words, I couldn’t tell you what side of the hill the coffee beans grew on, what country it was grown in or who roasted it… That’s because I’m a Apple snob. I use a MacBook, an iPhone and soon the iPad — that’s another story and another review for a different day.
I“m a big fan of coffee and a bigger fan on THIS particular Second Cup.
Why? Why Second Cup over Starbucks just 500 metres away? They both make great coffee, great treats, great products…
So WHY?
Well, for one… Second Cup is a CANADIAN business. THIS Second Cup is privately owned vs. being a «Corporate Store».
Starbucks doesn’t NEED my money. Neither does Second Cup (the Corporation) …however, THIS Second Cup is owned & operated by Laura and her very nice family who visibly LOVE what they do and truly want to make a measurable difference in my day… in YOUR day.
Laura and her Second Cup are also involved in local community events…
That’s not to say other coffee shops don’t feel and act the same way as Laura… I’ve been to the Starbucks in Copperfield and they’re very nice people… but when given a choice, I choose to INVEST my money into local community business owners.
McKenzie Towne IS my community and Laura IS the owner.
The very fact that Laura know’s my name after only a few visits demonstrates that she cares about my business. I can’t say that for the Starbucks 500 metres away… and that, to me, is worth something which is why Laura and her staff have EARNED my loyalty.
Oh, the coffee? Always hot, the way I like it.
the food? Always tasty, the way I like it.
Staff — they get the order right, the way I like it.
Comfortable seating — the way my backside likes it.
Parking — never a problem…
But Vince… they don’t have a drive through… Really? That’s a big deal?
Well, I for one could use the exercise… seriously, I could use the exercise… and at the end of the day… so could you (insert cheeky grin here).
We all have a choice — I choose my local family owned Second Cup.
Large Vanilla Bean Latte, please :)
