Specialties
Saltlik specializes in creating an atmosphere where the best casual fine dining experience is possible. This is accomplished through premium service and approachable menu items.
History
Established in 2001.
Saltlik is attached to the Glanville/Ward (Lougheed) Block on historic Stephan Avenue. This block was constructed in 1898 and the building that is now Saltlik used to be a bank. In fact, our building was the first CIBC in Western Canada and was converted to Saltlik in 2001. We have converted the old bank vault into our wine cellar, which is on display as guests walk downstairs. The metal works horse outside of the building was purchased by our owner Stu Fuller at an auction in 2001 and is now an iconic fixture in downtown Calgary. The sculpture was created by famous artist Russell Zeid, whose works can be found in many museums and cultural buildings throughout Canada.
Meet the Manager
Krista R.
Manager
Originally from BC, I moved to Calgary to attend Post Secondary. I graduated from Athabasca University with a BA majoring in Psychology and English. I served and bartended in various locations around the city before managing at Saltlik. I love the food and beverage industry and the transition from employee to manager was enjoyable.
