At Rosso, we have our sights set on great coffee and even better hospitality. Our coffee is always fresh, and is roasted in house at our Ramsay location on a state-of-the-art Probat coffee roaster. We spend countless hours profiling, tasting and tinkering with each coffee that comes into our café. Our goal is to highlight the coffees sweetness, balance out its properties and leave a pleasant aftertaste in your mouth after every sip.
For Rosso, it doesn’t stop at coffee. All of our menu items from our panini sandwiches right to our famous parsley and cheddar biscuits are made fresh daily in our kitchen.
Whether you are a coffee connoisseur, a pastry aficionado or just enjoy a tasty treat, Rosso has something for you.
History
Established in 2007.
Rosso’s story began in late 2007, the first business to open its doors in Calgary’s up and coming urban development project the Ramsay Exchange.
Rosso now has three locations in its roots of Calgary, which its banner proudly hangs: Ramsay — a coffee house driven off community, intimacy and destination in the heart of one of Calgary’s oldest communities; Victoria Park — a blend of rustic furniture intertwined with modern décor reflects that of the sandstone buildings and new age skyscrapers which encapsulate the neighbourhood and Stephen Avenue — quietly tucked in the center of downtown, a stones throw from Olympic Plaza, the Glenbow Museum and Theatre Calgary.
The coffee program has changed dramatically over the past two years with the introduction of a Probat L12 roaster and a direct-trade model of sourcing green coffee. This past January 2015, Rosso flew to Costa Rica and Guatemala to open the door to a transparent model of coffee sourcing.
