When I first moved back to Canada I had to reinstate my Alberta health coverage, and in that time I had a couple of appointments with a doctor and had some lab work done.
I had my knees x-​rayed at an office in the Eaton’s Centre and paid the fee for that service. When my coverage was approved, I was allowed to get reimbursement for the appointments I had three months prior to my application.
When I returned to the ornery receptionist at the X-​ray clinic she referred me to her head office. When I called them and explained my situation the person there was extremely friendly and had my case already on file.
