There are treasures galore in this little store! Papyrus has the cutest cards, gift bags and wrapping paper. They also have tons of little trinkets — candles, journals, postcards, magnets, calendars. You name it! This is my go-to place for cards and gift bags. I sometimes wish they would either have a larger space in The Core to separate the cards from the gift products… or focus on one or the other, so the store wasn’t so cramped.

This store is small but I can get lost in it for a surprising amount of time. Paper in its many forms(cards, notepads, journals, wrapping paper, invitations) is often forgotten in these electronic times. We send texts, emails, electronic gift cards and frankly don’t take the time to do a lot of things that items in this store support. But every time I walk in here i think to myself«I am going to send Christmas cards next year» or «I am going to gift random thank you note to coworkers who are helpful» or «I am going to start mailing my friends letters just so they get something food in their mailboxes». Papyrus and its pretty, well crafted paper goods make me want to take the time and do these things. Granted I don’t ALWAYS follow through but I have purchased a few things after being inspired by the what they sell. They aren’t cheap. I find them a little more expensive than the Hallmark stores(but with way better stuff) and a lot more expensive than the drugstores or «Walmart» type places. But in exchange you get things that are a little more«one of a kind», have more of an artistic, handcrafted, designer feel and just seem a little more special. Yes, it is a chain. But this location seems to have a lot of regulars and the sales people know their names, which makes it feel very un-chain like. So go forth and get yourself some classy thank you or just because cards and see how much fun it is to give them to people.
