Generally for what it is, I find Marble Slab to be too expensive so I rarely come in for a cone. However, now that I live in McKenzie Towne there always seems to be coupons in my mailbox which brings the price down to something a little more reasonable, though still inflated. The staff here have been good, but they’re slow and sometimes there’s a little bit of confusion as to who is supposed to be doing what. They’ve never mixed up my order or anything, but sometimes I have to remind them part way through the process about what I ordered as they look at me with a flustered face.

Hot summer day, long weekend. Three day ice cream craving. We drove here thinking it would solve all the day’s problems. I really had a hankering for something like pralines and cream. This is one of those places that mixes the icecream base with toppingd for you and I knew this going in. I asked the girl there if she could make something like pralines and cream. She said yes then gave me plain praline icecream. I had to ask her to mix nuts in. I also ordered(and paid more for) a premium waffle cone(skor…mmmmm) but only got a plain waffle cone. With a line up forming I didn’t want to be «that» person to get her to change it. Later on our table there was a «menu» that described an ice cream combo which was exactly what I had asked her about but didn’t get. Oh well. What I got was indeed very tasty but it would have been nice if someone could have taken us through the experience a bit more. The boyfriend got the rocky road and I believe is right now in a chocolate coma some where in our home. He said it was delicious. I’d probably go back but I’d like to see more engagement from either the staff or the franchisees that stood watching the scooper girl make everything. Its a great concept but you need to guide people through a bit more. However it did help with the craving :)
