Lakeview Bakery focuses on organic and special dietary needs baked goods with over 200 varieties. Many are baked fresh daily including Gluten free, egg free, dairy free, diabetic and low carb breads, buns and bagels. We have a large assortment of packaged dry goods and pastas. We carry frozen baked goods from EL Peto, Judy G, Kinnikinnick, and Martha’s. Our organic products are spelt, kamut and Stoneground bread, buns, bagels and pizza shells. For yeast free we have Sour dough spelt and frozen rice bread for the Celiac diet. Dr. Bernsteins clinics recommends Lakeview low carb breads, including Power Flax and Multigrain Flax which have half the carbs of regular bread. Decorated cakes come in White and Chocolate, Gluten Free and Dairy free. Diabetic or just egg free are Special orders that require 24 HOUR advanced notice. Call us at 403 246 6127.

In 1990 Brian and his wife purchased Lakeview Bakery, a small retail bakery .
The need for special dietary baking in the city prompted a change in direction for the business. In the last 10 years Lakeview bakery has become a leader in special dietary baking in Canada. In 2003 when the diet focused on carbohydrate intake, Brian appeared on National Radio and TV to explain how consumers could sensibly adjust their diet without giving up bakery products. Brian continues to appear regularly on CTV’s Noon Show and has received several Government grants for Science based work related to carbohydrate control and use of Omega 3’s in baked products.
The year ahead will see renewed focus on salt and sugar reduction in the diet.
