I swore they changed names to Slice Bakery, but the sign hasn’t. Usually my husband picks up goodies for me, but I was able to one day. We went mid afternoon and there wasn’t much selection, at least not in the freshly baked good. Tons of dry and frozen products though. And it’s all gluten free. I got a lemon cake, which was yummy! I let it sit on my counter for a couple days so it wasn’t as fresh when I got to it. I will say though, probably the best gluten free bakery in Calgary!

Great bakery, we ordered a gluen-free cake for my daughter’s birthday(one of her friends is celiac) it was delish! I will certainly order again.

This bakery is for the gluten-free community. I’ve been here twice now and I don’t remember it being entirely gluten-free the first time(maybe six or twelve months ago), but it definitely seems to be now. They have breads, cookies, squares, pies and other specialty pastries as well as some convenience store goods for baking, breakfast, refrigeration and more. It’s a small shop but has a respectable variety. Today I ate the pecan square which was very light and topped with brown sugar. It certainly was tasty, but pricey in my opinion for the portion size, which I do recall the last time I purchased food here. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s common for gluten-free products. I’m lucky enough to eat whatever I want and I just choose to stop in because I’m open to trying most foods at least once. I’d say this bakery/store would be a treasure for the gluten-free warrior. Apparently they are undergoing website development and a name change, which is soon to be Slice.
