Koncept Auto Works

I first learned about this place via Groupon. I like this place because its a one-​stop-​shop solution and they offer very reasonable prices. I usually get the oil changed, car detailed and other minor repairs done all at the same time. The prices are VERY reasonable and I always receive a great service. Its a family ran business and they are always very friendly.

The reason I’m giving the low rating is because of two things:
1) I ensured that I was parked outside the zone of their parking (it’s in a strip mall) because there was no sign where I parked and the sign that I did see had an arrow pointing in the other direction (see picture). I had to pick up an item at another store in that mall. While walking away a guy whistled from afar and shouted, «you can’t park there!» he then turned around and walked away. Well since he didn’t wait for my response I thought the conversation was over. Then a few seconds later I heard another shout «you can’t park there» and now there were two guys from Koncept. My response was, «show me the sign that says I can’t park there». They then shouted again «you can’t park there». I then replied the same as before «show me the sign» (I had ensured that I wasn’t parked in their zone). They then replied «if you don’t move your car we are going to block you from getting out.» I said, «OK do that and I will call the police.» They mumbled something and went inside. I went to pick up what I had to pick up and after about 5 minutes I left. The people working there clearly have poor customer service skills and would rather bully people than talk to them like professionals. If they had been nice about it instead of acting the way they did I would be glad to move (even though I was well in my rights to park there).
2) After posting the above rating and review my original post was deleted because Koncept requested my review to be removed. Instead again of apologizing they took it upon themselves to cover up a TRUE experience. No company is perfect and no employee is perfect but then it’s what you do afterwards that shows your true colours. The fact that a TRUE experience was covered up shows the lack of ownership by this company.
I also need to add: I went in there to buy a snow brush and I got good service from a nice lady sitting behind a desk. Since I am a paying customer I have the rights to post this review as per the terms of service. If this post is again deleted by any admin of Unilocal I will be escalating this as a violation of my rights to post a TRUE review from a paying consumer of this establishment. Thanks for reading.

Dislike… a lot.
Tried them on a dealfind and wont ever ever be back. To upgrade for a shampoo for a honda civic was an extra $ 149! So many add ons for cost its ridiculous. Didnt win me over at all and extremely rude. Thumbs DOWN!
IN response to the lady below– My reviews are not debatable. Everyone has their opinion and it is valid whether the company likes it or not. The front staff was rude even when trying to book my car in. One time the lady actually answered the phone, asked me to hold and put the phone down so i could hear her in the back and I waited for ever then she just hung up the phone… A hassle plus they are rude.
Furthermore to the point of having all the ‘extras’ clearly visible– the ‘Extras’ (shampoos, waxing etc…) are written on a deconstructed CARDBOARD BOX with MARKER and there must be over 100 ‘extra charges’ written on this stupid piece of cardboard. How unprofessional!
PLUS the interior ‘cleaning’ was horrible! I could have done better myself with shoeshine im sure. There were big white clumps/​streaks all over that i rubbed off on my own. I mean sure we all miss spots, no one is perfect, but when you are over charging like they do you should expect to have your car cleaned out with a q-​tip and not have to fix several spots that they missed.
I guess i am defending my review with quite the rant but all in all, as you can see from several other similar reviews to mine, dont waste your time or money.

Oh man this place is a ripoff… just read the reviews. These guys are just about as rude as they come. I bought one of the detailing packages and they tried to hassle me for an extra $XXX. Dudes, seriously? So I just walked out, I mean, who wants to fight for what they already paid for right? Save yourself some time there are too many other shops in town who are actually somehow motivated to make sure you’re happy and come back. Imagine that.

Koncept Auto Works have done an amazing job in getting my car fixed. I recommend all my friends and family to go to them. The employees are awesome, they are so helpful. I love how they treat every customer with respect and honesty. I recommend everyone to get there oil changes done there and they do a fabulous job cleaning my interior. They offer such great services i always know that my Honda is safe and well serviced when i leave Koncept Auto Work. Great team and amazing employees.

I went here after purchasing a dealfind voucher. I was quite concerned after reading some other reviews. I was prepared to be told I’d have to pay extra. So no surprise when they came and told me that I needed to pay an extra fee because I had ‘excessive pet hair’. This was pretty funny as there was almost no pet hair, and it took them a long time to decide there was pet hair. I declined the fee, and said I could vacuum the whole car for $ 1. They did a ‘quick vacuum” which in the end vacuumed up the ‘excesive pet hair’. Haha. Anyways they did a good job cleaning the interior and I was happy with everything. However it should be noted that there is a giant list of exceptions and extra charges all over the shop. SUV’s are extra, if it is below zero they won’t wash your car, if you have leather seats it’s more, if you have ‘excessive’ aka ANY pet hair there is an extra charge, there is an extra charge to get your washer fluid topped up… and on and on. Wouldn’t go back, but I do feel like I got my money’s worth for the voucher.

You know how it sucks when something goes wrong with your car? It’s such an inconvenience to make an appointment to drop it off, then having to wait around for them to work on it, then finding out there is 10 more things wrong that will cost 10x more than you expected to pay to fix one little problem?
Well my two experiences with Koncept have been the opposite. The first visit, they found about 5 other things wrong and I was expecting to pay a lot more, but instead of charging me for duplicate work, I got two new tires and all that I had asked to be done before I realized I needed two new tires for the cost I expected to pay plus only $ 15 more. I was conveniently able to drop my car off in the morning by dropping the keys in the slot, and come pick it up after work even though they were closed and they hid my keys in a place for me to pick them up. I was able to pay over the phone and I really had quite an awesome experience. My car was cleaned really well, the windows were streakless and the dashboard had a shine like I haven’t seen even when the car was new. The carpets were clean and free of dust… the wheels were cleaned… the wheel wells were clean. I’m really happy with my experience and I was surprised at the quality of work I received for how much I paid. There were a couple of other problems that weren’t things I needed to fix immediately, they let me know that, and didn’t pressure me to do it right away. I really appreciated that.
After about two days of driving, I found my tire was flat. I was worried that maybe I had gotten tires that had problems with them and called when I had time to. They remember me and told me to come in anytime. Same convenience of dropping the car off and picking it up later… they called and told me I had driven over a nail since I was last in and that they would patch it up. I asked how much it would cost… and they said they’d do it for free.
If that’s not going out of your way to deliver awesome customer service and make a bad situation (problems with your car) into a good experience, I don’t know what else they could’ve done right. I have an old car and need to fix it up almost every year, and this was definitely my best experience with it.

On dealfind, there was this voucher for a oil change and an interior cleaning for your car for $ 40. What a deal right? Wrong. I had to pay an extra $ 10 because my car had leather interior and an extra $ 15 because it was a SUV. Total cost … $ 65 which was more expensive than going to the dealership and having it done there. I guess it was really my fault for not reading the fine print but oh well, what’s done is done.
Was it worth $ 65? Nope. Sure they cleaned the interior but I could of done that myself with a bottle of armor all and some towels. It didn’t look like they used anything fancy and they even missed a few spots. They washed my car but it was just a spray of water. Did they use soap and wax? I doubt that.
What was the lesson learnt? If it sounds too good to be true, it probably should’ve cost more.
