Whoooooa, whaaaaaaat? If you’ve ever been to the original Han Corea, you’ll be in shock over the difference the two restaurants. Same owners, same family run kitchen. Same self serve rice and water. But this location is clearly the better looking child. It’s spacious, you’ll always get a table. Modern, sleek and it’s got interesting structural décor. The food? Just as good as the original. I mean, the cook is the same guy. The menu is the same — it’s not a cook it yourself kbbq joint. We always order the pork and squid bulgogi. It’s got heat, it’s got meat, and chewy squid pieces. Spareribs, always tender and marinated right. They never have the pork bone soup, but the kim chi soup is always a hit. The pork feet slices are great if you are looking for something to accompany your beers. We also ordered the chicken soup for 4 which takes an hour advance notice, but it actually took 6 of us to finish it. It’s a cauldron full of chicken and veggies, then they add udon noodles later on. So be prepared! Han Corea is a place we frequent when we are hunger and can’t be bothered to risk having a bad meal. Always look forward to coming, and we always leave stuffed.
