Could they not be a little more organized here? It’s complete madness every single time I’ve been here or just walked through. I get that there’s not many«bar» options at the dome but service here is brutal but prob cuz the waitresses can’t even get around the hoards of people.

What a great but busy place. It was packed and to be expected since it was Valentine’s and a hockey game. Never have had dinner at The lounge but I was pleasantly surprised by what’s yet to come. We were seated in the restaurant and were with a group of 8. Ordered some bottles of wine as well as cocktails when we were seated. We were introduced to our two severs for the night. Our servers for our group of 8 was Kimberly and Sebestian. They were both phenomenal. They were always around to replenish drinks and bottles of wine. Kimberly never let our drinks get to «half empty» and made sure we were well taken care of throughout dinner and dessert. For dinner, we all had the buffet. The buffet was stocked. Everything from salads, veggies, potatoes as well as a few varieties of meat and fish. Prime rib, salmon, baked chicken, pasta with meatballs as well as shrimp and crab legs. We all loaded up our plates but not to full since we could see the dessert selection at tables near by. Oh My! Everything was fresh and delicious. My FAV was the prime rib, pasta salad and grilled veggies. YUM! The dessert table had a variety of cakes, pastries and the best a huge chocolate fountain with all kinds of fruit. I was tempted to just pull up a chair and make the chocolate fountain my new best friend. Loaded up with fruit, chocolate, a red velvet cupcake and a slice of cheese cake. It was all fantastic. I LOVED the fruit with chocolate(pineapple and strawberries were the best) nothing like warm chocolate and fruit to make dinner complete. The cheesecake was so good as well. I had to restrain myself from not going to get a second piece. What a regret, I really wish I made a second visit to the dessert table. The food, atmosphere, drinks and service were amazing. Thank you Kimberly and Sebestian, our amazing servers for making a great night for us all.

Pretty rocking place before a Roughnecks game. Not a bad selection for beers. They also have a full bar in Duttons and one just on the other side of the wall. Food isn’t too shabby either. All in all it a great place to get primed for the game. Whether it be Flames, Necks, or Hitmen.

Great place to come and have a few pregame beers before the game. Remember if you want any chance of getting a seat, go early. It gets packed really quick. Great selection of beer, great food and friendly people to shoot the shit with before you watch the flames kick ass. Enjoy! :)

An ad for Dutton’s might read, «DOYOULIKEBEERTHATTASTESLIKE A NOZZLE? DOYOULIKEWAITINGEXORBITANTAMOUNTSOFTIMEFORFOODCOLDERTHANTHEICETHEFLAMESPLAYON? COMEHERE!» So it’s hockey night and you’re starving. You think to yourself, «How convenient! A lounge right in the Saddledome! With food and beer and everything!(You are easily impressed) — we should GOTHERE!» No, you shouldn’t. You really, really shouldn’t. The last time I was at Dutton’s it was absolutely balls to the walls packed out — not a table to be had. Okay, can’t fault a place for being popular. My friend and I moseyed up to the counter and decided we’d just eat right at the bar. After waiting 10 minutes to be acknowledged, he ordered a burger and fries, I opted for chicken fingers. And then we waited. And waited. And waited some more. I was absolutely starving. So we did what anyone logical would do and grabbed a few beers. My Keith’s unfortunately tasted … well, how do I put this. You know the smell of spray paint? That mechanical, «nozzle» type taste? Imagine you mixed that with some hops and then had a flashback to that one time you were 8 years old and stuck a screw in your mouth, and that’s how my beer was. But since I had already paid $ 100 for it I decided that I might as well finish it up. Dish after dish went by to others around us — even people who had arrived later. I was getting annoyed, but all of their meals looked really good. The presentation was solid. They looked happy with them, so I convinced myself this was all going to be worth it. Maybe the chef in the back was a really cute girl who saw me come in and decided to hand-make my meal for me. Maybe my chicken fingers would come cut into the shapes of hockey sticks and Jarome Iginla’s weird-shaped head. Maybe she was arranging my fries into a log cabin and hiding a slip of paper with her number inside. All relevant possibilities. None of them true, sadly. We waited some more. And then — FINALLY! The metal lid-covered trays arrived in front of us. Finally, our meals were here! Eagerly I lifted up the lid to discover. A FANTASTICDELICIOUSMEAL! Or, rather, what had been a fantastic delicious meal probably half an hour before they whipped it out from under the heat lamps and brought it over to me. My fries were white, soggy, limp and sad. I want to make an inappropriate reference here, but I’m sure you can do that yourselves now. My chicken fingers were dry, cold and hard. It was like Duttons was throwing one last«SCREWYOU!» at me before I went upstairs to watch the Flames lose again. In conclusion, if you’re hungry before a game, eat somewhere else. Have a beer at that«somewhere else» too, unless you’re into brews that taste like the inside of a pipe.

Located in the Scotiabank Saddledome and previously referred to as Avison Young Club. I’m a die-hard lacrosse fan and Dutton’s is a ritual before every home game. For Flames hockey & Roughnecks lacrosse, must have a game ticket to enter. With doors opening 2 hours before event start, it’s a great place to grab a drink and something to eat. Menu is limited, but food is good. Our ritual before lacrosse games is always and order of nachos. Last home game, the comment made when food was delivered to our table«you guys are so predictable». Graham loves the burger, our guests have enjoyed the salad and the wings. Staff is friendly, food comes quickly, and seldom have to wait long for drinks. Lots of TVs, showing a variety of sports. Another awesome feature… Dutton’s is open for all 10 days of Stampede. They have a wonderful buffet for a reasonable price. Not alot of selection, but the food is mouth-watering good. Another tradition of ours… for over 20 years we have spent the final Sunday of Stampede on the grounds, attending both the Rodeo Finals, and Chuckwagon Finals. Our dinner inbetween is the buffet.(ok, now I’m making myself hungry!) It’s a bar in a sports complex. With all the Flames hocky games, no idea how I can possibly be the Foursquare Mayor(something which I expect, after I have included that info in this review, will soon change!). But for Graham & I, for 8 home lacrosse games a year, maybe a playoff game or 2, and final day of Stampede… it is our venue of choice.
