Colours Art & Framing

Small store with lots in it. They carry my favourite acrylic paint brand (Winsor & Newton Artists’ Acrylics) while many other art supply stores in Calgary do not. Also, I once got a nice 5-​sided custom-​made canvas there. Staff are usually pretty knowledgeable.

Moody staff. Irregular hours. Doesn’t reorder product in a timely manner.

It was my first and last time I ever spend my $ in this store. I drove from Airdrie to purchase airbrush supplies. The prices are unclear, the price marked on the bottles are different that what the actual price is. They did not have the stock offered on the websight. The woman who was working (I believe was the owner) was extremely rude. Rushed me through my selection and purchase. I bought 18 bottles of airbrush paint! and would of probably bought more stuff. I am a shop owner and local artist myself. She seemed in a hurry to get back to the movie that she was watching. Like I was an «inconvenience» to her even though there was no one else in the store. I will NEVER shop at this store again! So disappointed!

This is a fairly small store but has quite a bit inside. But thats the problem, too much stuff not enough room. You’ll find yourself squeezing in and out of art merchandise. They seem to have evrything you want. I didn’t check out the prices but the only thing I checked out was the airbrush goods. They seemed to have a few good models and 3 or 4 silent compressors. The prices seemed fair for the airbrush stuff. The young fellow behind the counter seemd nice and was very helpful. I will come back for my art needs.
