COBS Bread Westhills specializes in freshly baked, handcrafted breads in a variety of flavours and textures. All of our bread is baked daily using scratch baking techniques. While breads are the foundation, our product ranges include traditional breads, specialty loaves, artisan breads as well as sweet and savoury treats.

History

Established in 2006.

COBS Westhills opened its doors in 2006 with the goal of bringing high quality, freshly baked bread to its community. Since 2003 COBS Bread has stayed true to its commitment to only bake and sell fresh bread each and every day. Because we are serious about the taste and health benefits that freshly baked bread provide we only make and sell our bread at our local bakeries. Today COBS Bread has more than 70 bakery locations across British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.

I joined the COBS family in March 2012. I had been introduced to COBS a few years earlier and was very impressed by the product and the feeling I got each time I made a purchase. It was like I was home, visiting with neighbours in line, knowing the sales associates by name, and them knowing me. I loved it. I had always wanted to own and operate a business of my own but wanted to wait until my son was grown. I always joke about working well into my 80’s so why rush the business and miss out on the family experience; there was plenty of time to enjoy both. So one day I woke up and realized my son is off to university in the fall and the Westhills location, which happens to be the location I shop at, is up for sale wow ! I did a ton of research on the company, and it was clear that this was a company I could see myself becoming a part of. I bought the franchise in September 2012 and haven’t looked back.
