Harvey has done my hair for years now, and my mothers and grandmothers hair. He takes such pride in what he does and is amazing! Cut, colour anything he can do it! His blowouts are amazing and I would recommend him to anyone! He’s so easy to talk to and understands what you’re looking for.

I am writing to praise the exceptional abilities of Ashley – my hair designer at Chatters in Signal Hill in Calgary, Alberta. She is incredibly talented – you never have to worry about how your hair will turn out. Equally great as a colourist too!!! ALSO what makes me appreciate Ashley so much, is how much she cares about her clients. She will go out of her way for you!!! She really, really cares!!! Also at Chatters, I would like to mention and praise the Manager of this hair salon. Her name is Katie. She is always a wonderfully, kind person. She really is so nice. It is truly a pleasure to walk into Chatters and see her.

So my regular hair dresser moved to Ontario… I didn’t know what to do and put off a hair color and cut for like 9 weeks. I decided to try chatters in west hills. They put with with a girl named with cierra and she was great! We picked out the color and it was perfect! Color and trim came to $ 120 which to me is pretty decent. Add that this store is FULLLLLLLLL of every hair product under the sun is pretty cool. One stop hair shop!

Had my hair cut and coloured today by Debbie. My hair looks and feels amazing! I am so happy with my new look. I will be coming back for future hair care.

I saw Harvey today to get my hair cut & colored. A friend of mine had her hair done earlier in the week and it looked amazing… when I asked when and where… she said Harvey at Chatters. Her rave comments about Harvey, inspired me to booking an appointment immediately.
My expectations were EXCEEDED & I elect Harvey my go-​to color specialist and hair designer because of the care he puts into his craft.
From the moment my appointment started, Harvey was touching my hair to understand & deliver on my hair color expectations. He was honest about the current condition of my locks, and took time to make a few recommendations with hair swatch samples.
But the number one thing Harvey did to win my vote… he took me seriously and honestly worked to unfold my complex hair color and styling expectations. Looked at the two pictures I brought to represent my look. He asked about he products I used and LISTENED to how I used them.
«Head out of the wash bowl»… I was like…“umm, it doesn’t look lighter/brighter/etc…but it WAS exactly what I wanted”. It the right amount of change and looks multi-​tonal and beautiful. Its been less than 24 hours and I have received endless GENUINE complements about my updated hair color. The blowout was a work of magic as well.
Thank you Harvey… I will be flying back from SF to sit in your chair because you and your team made me look and feel like a princess.
NOTE: I have really complex hair demands. My hair. grows slow, and is easy to mess up. I generally only see hair designers and color specialists. Harvey also sensed my inhibition and focused on short term win to show me he understood. Next appt (few days out)…he will do the finishing touches. I’m impressed to find someone who cares about by hair and style as much as I do.

I’ve been coming to Chatters for years to buy my products — even long after my stylist left there — because I’m a fan of Redken as that’s pretty much where its available.
I find that the staff who works the sales floor of this Chatters descends on you the minute you come in the door, asks what you want, escorts you up to the til, and almost discourages you from looking around. A couple of months ago, this very thing happened to me – I told the girl who greeted me what I was in for, and she grabbed the Redken products I was after and took me up to the til. A different girl who was ringing me through, saw the two bottles and asked: «So…you want *two* of those???» I had to explain to her that Redken Satin Wear is for when your hair it wet, before you dry it; Iron Silk is for when it’s dry, before you style it with hot tools. You know — pretty much stuff she should know, working there and all.
Yesterday, I was in to restock and saw that Redken changed their packaging and the formulation of their styling products — when I asked someone for assistance (this is a rare instance when I *wasn’t attacked at the door) and asked if these new products were equivalent to the products I’m used to using, she was struck dumb for an answer. Absolutely had no product knowledge — and I’m finding that to be a fairly common trait of the people who work here.
They need to spend less time congregating around the til, they should spend more time learning about the products they sell, and while I understand that greeting customers when they come in is just good retail, they need to create a more relaxed atmosphere, where we are encouraged to browse around and perhaps get tempted to buy other items — that a huge part of your business… yes?

I’m new to the city and had to get my hair done. I’m platinum blonde and I was with my last stylist for 3 years, needless to say I was nervous to try out a new salon. I buy my hair care from Chatter’s and inquired about price for roots + toning and the price was pretty decent actually. Considering what my hair is like in terms of color, i was recommended to see Khalida.
I saw Khalida for her next appointment, 2 weeks later, and she was super sweet. We had a great conversation. She asked about what products and colour line my previous stylist used, what her process was, and even adjusted it so it wasn’t so harsh on my hair. My hair took to the toner really fast so my hair was a little ashy on the top but i knew that it would wash out in two washes and it did. My hair looks so great now! (I kind of liked the ashy colour though, hehe)
I ended up receiving a free gift because I got my hair done, a few coupon’s for future chatter’s and ended up being charged $ 30 less that I was originally quoted. I’ve also gone to this location multiple times for advice on hair products. I ended up returning one but am happy with all the other products so far and will most likely pick up more for the winter.
I’m definitely coming back!
