Good menu for a hotel restaurant/café. Covers all the proteins, theres something to interest pretty much everyone. Gluten Free options are available, and the servers seem aware. The gluten free bread is a good bread but in the spring was priced at $ 4.95. I’m happy to report good news! On my most recent September 2015 visit it’s now only $ 1.95 extra! Better deal. Reminder to self: ask for burger with a little less char — ordered one(the B&B&M) my spring visit. Could have been because it was really late that night. :) Stuff happens. Dining this time in the Café was reliable and gluten free available. The gluten free bread is nutty, seedy and tasty, I had a BLT for supper and the eggs, toast & bacon for breakfast. Fastest breakfast ever — literally 2 minutes. Going in at 10:45, 15 minutes before they stop serving breakfast when it’s not busy is ideal! Perfect basted eggs. Bacon wasn’t cooked fresh to order, but in a hotel that size, understandable. Next time I’ll ask them to crisp it up a bit. Last visit in June, of course I dined at the restaurant. Lovely, friendly staff, ordered wine & a tortilla soup — without the tortillas, apparently they use flour not traditional corn, and they were helpful and concerned with my gluten-free needs. Note to the wise: soup was HOT. Spicy and the temperature kind of hot — burnt my mouth.(Oops.) I’m guessing they pass the food safety inspection there. Get the sour cream if you order the soup — ai Chihuahua! I like it spicy, and the chilli/chipotle bite was there. Meaty, almost stew like. I took the leftovers home, snack for supper next day! It was good value for the money. Gluten free desserts now! Two GF cheesecakes — Turtle(looked awesome) and strawberry. I had no room, and forgot to order it to go the next day. :( Oh, and did you know you can take the rest of your glass of wine up to your room? Yup. No more guzzling before wandering off to finish the work of the night. Great tip!
