We found this place by accident driving down Macleod and cut through 2 lanes to turn into the driveway! I walked in — cool coffee shop on the one side and CANDY galore to the right. I stopped dead when I saw the wall of Jelly Bellies! Such a nice display and I think that was my fave part of the store! The young guy working was very nice and helpful as well. Some of the bulk candy in the plastic containers were stuck together and he had to give a couple of cannisters a good shake! The variety as a whole was so-so. They had a lot of the cool old candy I remember as a kid but wow, these packages are pricy now! I found myself comparing this store to the Gummi Boutique and Gummi wins for sure(less costly too). I am not sure I will find another place like that!!! It was fun looking overall at Candylicious and I did come out with a few small bags of bulk — sours of course. Part of an afternoon in any candy store is time well spent in my opinion! :) Good times! We will be back to try the coffee another day!

I love candy. Probably not the same way some people with the sweet tooth do. I can’t sit and eat a pound of chocolate in one night or finish a bag of candy in one sitting like some can. I do however enjoy to have sweets around for a treat. I don’t like all sweets and have specific favorites. This store is really new and considering this they have a fair bit of candy. The prices are higher than they need to be and you should keep an eye as you pick out your loot. They told me after January 15th2012 they expect a large order of new candy. I plan to go back after that and check the store out. If they have more I will add another star, especially if they get salt water taffy. Calgary isn’t really known for its candy stores like banff is. It would be great if we had a comparable candy store to visit.

Stopped in here because every time I drive by that rainbow sign just jumps out at me. This is a small shop, and like most candy shops is crammed to the brim with sweet, sweet candy goodness. Most of the candy that interests me is in bulk dispensers, arranged by price along the walls. You just mix bulk candy and they weigh it out. Tons of the usuals, some gluten free choices and some unique candies in there too. My main complaint is that getting the candy out of the dispensers is a bit cumbersome, you really have to work to get some of the gummies out. My other complaint is the price… these bulk beasts tend to add up quick — and when they dispense so oddly, you usually end up with more than you bargained for. This place has a TON of pez candy dispensers. A whole wall, my friend was in awe of the selection — I’m not a huge pez fan but could still appreciate the vast amount of them. Would be handy to pick one up for a gift(stocking stuffer maybe?). They also have ice cream or some kind of frozen treat. I didn’t look to closely at it — it was a snowy day when we came in — but some others in the shop bought some, might be worth investigating. The place is rather new, the lady working was super friendly and explained that they are still expanding their stock. I was looking for sours, my usual, and she mentioned I should come back soon as they were expecting some new ones in(lemonheads included!). The location of this place makes it handy for picking up some snacks before hitting a movie at chinook.
