fastfood made to order 1⁄5: ive been going here since 1990. Good pita bread — this is not a review of the bakery but of the restaurant inside which recently opened. I would say to avoid their new food offerings, as this is a bakery, not a restaurant. The falafel are so old and hard as a rock that it will cut your throat going down. I was told this was the«style» for this type of arabic falafel. Horrible! The Bakery: 5⁄5

It’s a weekly stop on my way to work, I stop in for a zaatar, a pita covered with a mixture of zaatar spices, which is a blend of Mediterranean spices. A very unique taste, but most all, this bakery very well known for families shopping on a regular basis for pita bread, bagels, Lebanese bakings including deserts like baklava, mshabak, katayef, and so much more. The prices are terrific. The bakery is well know and supplies all the national chain grocers, so all the baked goods, breads, which are irregular meanings they didn’t pass inspection and were either not perfectly shaped or a bit over done and also a day or two old are sold at a friction of the cost, I pick up a pack of pita either old or irregular for 50cents to $ 1.00 and that doesn’t bother me if its not perfectly round! Tastes the same. Must try!

Looking at it for what it is, this place is great! Everything comes with incredible freshness and authenticity. I particularly love the meat pies(i.e.).

If your in the area you must have lunch there!!! And before you leave pick up some dessert for later. Best falafel in the city, the falafel is cooked perfectly nice and crunchy not dense like most restaurants in the city. All the sweets are delicious especially the shaibia and knafe. Everything is always fresh and flavorful.

Rude customer service, there is a person there that should not be serving the public! I will never go there again.

Most flavorful, crispy and delicious falafel I’ve ever had! Great lunch place to pick up and great to see some outdoor seating. Definitely plan to head there in the summer for a quick patio lunch with my coworkers. So good and sooo cheap! YUM!

This is the best Falafel I’ve ever had in Calgary. Previously, the best Falafel I’ve ever eaten in my life was at a place called Deserts in Vancouver & Whistler. I haven’t been there for at least 15 years but I still compare all falafel sandwiches to that one. This one stands on its own. You gotta try it.

Having been established over 3 decades ago, Byblos Bakery is a notorious bakery in town. They are known best for their white and whole wheat pitas, but they also carry everything from baklava to kataifi. A good majority of stores around town supply Byblos Bakery pitas and not only are they the freshest around, but they’re also the biggest. And if you happen to be lucky enough to pick them up while they’re still warm, you will vow to never eat another type of pita for the rest of your life.

Though they mostly sell pita bread and other items, the small kitchen here can turn out some fast food. Their falafels are very crunchy, but nice with the tahini sauce. My favorite is a meat pie with the works. It makes for a great cheap lunch.
