— NEW! Authentic vintage wedding dresses from romantic Victorian to the mod 1960s. Please call us for an appointment to view.

— a carefully selected vintage menswear section including Don Draper shirts & ties, funky 70s disco shirts, gorgeous fedoras & more.

— Collectibles galore! Furniture, lamps, linens, china, shabby chic, retro & mid century too

— Theme party & Halloween clothing, 1920s style flapper dresses & more

Established in 2010.

A Vintage Affair started as a pop-​up shop offering it’s wares through one and two day events and at different retail venues throughout Calgary.

We have recently decided to go from pop-​up to permanent in our gorgeous Beltline location.

Okay, so it’s a month before my daughter’s grade 12 grad and we just started shopping for her dress today. Risky? Maybe.
Walking into A Vintage Affair we saw that there was a wide selection of one-​of-​a-​kind dresses from the 50s that would be perfect for a grad 12 grad dress (And we crossed out fingers that one would fit and suit my daughter)!
My daughter chose a handful of dresses to try on and it came down to two gorgeous knee-​length formal dresses. It was hard to decide, but my daughter chose the more sophisticated one, so that she could wear it to a few other social occasions this summer.
While trying on the dresses, one of the owners assisted us. She was so helpful giving advice and ideas on accessorizing. She also pointed out that a vintage dress is not going to go down in price, as long as you take care of it. It’s like an investment — a clothes investment! Does it get any better than that?
After my daughter decided on her dress, we looked around the rest of the store. There’s lots of knick knacks, accessories and things your grandma might have had that is now worth decent money.
I don’t know about you, but my grandma would likely faint if she knew how much her hand embroidered doilies are going for these days…

This a terrific shop that’s visually pleasing and filled with amazing vintage finds. Each visit here has me oohing and ahhing over beautiful pieces that are in tip top condition — everything on the racks has been well cared for, cleaned and mended.
I can spend hours here browsing and trying things on, and Bonnie & Theresa, the owners, encourage me to do so and give suggestions and their thoughts on everything I try. They’re also terrific to ask questions of regarding trying to find something vintage or accessorizing a vintage outfit era-​appropriately.
Unfortunately, I’m on a ridiculously tight budget, and the merchandise, while well worth the associated cost, is almost entirely outside of my limited means. If only I could buy everything in sight!

All avid second hand shoppers and everyone who loves to find that one of a kind item or outfit must check out A Vintage Affair! The store is stunning, all clothing clean, mended and ready to go. You will find extremely unique vintage and vintage-​inspired clothing, accessories, jewelry, housewares, and so much more. Prices are fantastic. I stop in regularly as new stock is added daily (free street parking on Sunday). The icing on the cake is that co-​founders Bonnie and Theresa are well informed in the world of vintage and also lots of fun to spend shopping-​time with. They’re even willing to open occasionally after hours to create exclusive shopping events for you and your friends. Check it out soon!
