I want to give them 3.5 They lose on a few points. Presentation is one. — The typography on their sign is horrible. But don’t judge the book by it’s cover. There isn’t much parking in front of this little store front. I parked at the small strip shop next door, but I’m not too sure it was the best place to park. The wide range of services they provide gave me a little head scratch — so instead of thinking of it as a place that serves pizza. I’m just going to review them as a dessert place. Walking in, you may feel that this place is a little sketchy. Doesn’t look modern, or super clean. But giving them the benefit of the doubt maybe a good thing at this point. Don’t judge a restaurants food before you’ve even tried it — I guess would be the thing to say here. I don’t believe I’ve ever had Moroccan desserts before, so I had no idea what I was ordering. When I was picking some more items out, the chef I believe offered me one to try for free! and it was an interesting taste a dessert that wasn’t made of chocolate or had a chocolate filling — but dates coated in what I can only describe familiarly to shortbread. They had an alright selection of items to try — but not a HUGE selection. The Lady behind the counter was helpful and kind and the desserts were pretty good. Although one dessert called Mille Feuille — was probably not my taste in a dessert. The desserts maybe a little pricy for a little shop, but I enjoyed whatever it is I ate — the treats are large enough to cut in half to share.

FOOD(meals) — They have daily specials(tagine au chicken, etc). So far we’ve had Tagine au fish. I really liked the potatoes — smooth silky texture and very nicely seasoned. The tomato sauce was good too. I thought the fish(salmon) was OK. Portion was generous. We also tried harira(chickpea & lentil soup). It was very mild but it was good — no sodiumy aftertaste. Definitely made from scratch :) Can’t wait to try their lamb tagine. Will update review after we try it. FOOD(sweets) — Lots of different types of Moroccan pastries on display. Everything is homemade. We haven’t tried many of them but the few we have tried were very good. DRINKS — They have some pop and standard cold(non-alcoholic) drinks in the fridge, but if you come here you should definitely try their Moroccan mint tea! It’s delicious. The«small»(pretty big) and«large»(even bigger) will come in paper cups — and the tea was super hot(which is good) when we ordered. If you order a teapot($ 4), I think it was equal or less volume than the«small» but it comes in legit Moroccan teapot and beautiful colourful glass teacups. If you’re not taking it to go, I’d suggest you pay the premium for the teapot experience. SERVICE — Polite, generous, and friendly. You can definitely feel the North African hospitality(they always offer samples and complimentary nibbles). Service can be a bit slow because sometimes they are making food in the back and no one is at the front, but you just have to call them. AMBIANCE — It’s a tiny place with two 2-people tables and a little bar. Basically a bakery /take-out /catering place, so not much ambiance. Moroccan TV playing in the bg. There are cute Moroccan decors on the wall.
