I’ve been in this store maybe a dozen times over the years and the experience is always the same: Piss poor. Rarely is my existence acknowledged and even more rarely does anyone attempt to help me. For example, today, I walked in as the lone customer in the store, there were 2 people working and neither greeted me. I meandered around the store for 10 minutes and the 2 useless staffers still didn’t budge. Being disgusted at how this store is run, I decided to leave. Did you racially profile me? Was it my attire? Did I not seem wealthy enough for your store? Is it because I don’t know the difference between a cookie pan and a bed pan? Maybe my aura said, «Look at me, I’m a huge dick.» Whatever it is, you guys are fools. Let me explain something. Your store isn’t particularly cheap on the pricing. I am generally ok with that but it has to come with service. If I get crappy service, why wouldn’t I just buy everything online? This is how you run yourself out of business. PS. I walked over to The Bay and spent my money there.

For me, it’s Ming Wo where I go for good selections and wide-varieties of quality brands and products — of cookware, kitchenware, tableware, glassware, and all the various«trimmings» of stuff & such to go with those offerings. And I have been doing so at their Lougheed Town Centre store locations since I moved into this area of Burnaby, back in 1995. Their current store is bright, well-stocked and laid-out, and bigger than the one at their previous location in the Mall. And as always, I find the staff helpful, informative, and do their best to answer questions, and assist with one’s purchasing decisions. I often get the urge to try some new-to-me ‘cooking things’ in the kitchen(in an attempt to escape ‘boredom’ of the same old, same old, and etc.), and so much-appreciate how Ming Wo brings in products to «tease» one to try them! Most-recently, for me, that has been two pieces of Emile Henry ‘Flame’ cookware(first a tagine, and then a large casserole dish). With the Christmas holidays on the way, I’ll bet there will be a visit or two to Ming Wo’s for some gift ideas, and something new for our kitchen too!
