Butterflies Hair Extensions

I highly recommend this place for clip ins or weave. They give you a free haircut with your purchase and have Remi hair which is the finest quality. At the moment they don’t have a lot in stock because of renovations but they are the best price by far, and Mason always tries his best to make the customer happy. I would not suggest the tanning however…

Bad service and even worse wigs. When I ordered the custom wig with human hair, the owner assured me that it would look natural like my current hair. When I got it, it was hideous and worse than the $ 100 synthetic wigs. Don’t come here; you will regret it.

The employees here are horrible with customer service! I just dropped by for a quick tan and I wish I never did. I used to come here all the time when I lived close by and I had purchased a tanning lotion from the owner. He advised me to keep it at the shop as it’s easier for me to just leave it there.
When I got there today, I asked the lady that was not so helpful whatsoever (playing/​texting on her iPhone) to find my lotion. She said she didn’t know where it was. I said no problem and asked her to help me with purchasing a new lotion until the owner comes back and finds mine.
She had no clue where the lotions were even located. She finally found me a one time use pack. She mentioned that they are usually $ 5 but also mentioned that she wouldn’t charge me for it as its not my fault that they can’t provide me with the product they sold me. Before I went to the tanning room, I asked her again to double check and she said «no charge don’t worry».
So as I went to pay, I noticed that they were charging me for the lotion that they specifically said was going to cost me nothing. At this point another girl «Missy» was helping me.
I asked her why I was being charged and she looked at me like I was an idiot saying «because you used it». I then explained the whole story to her and advised her that the other lady promised me that it would not cost me anything. She treated me like absolute CRAP! Saying that maybe the other lady misunderstood me. I said I double checked with her 2x. She said well people make mistakes. And I was pissed! Yes «people» do make mistakes but why should the customer have to pay for «the employee’s» mistake? She said I have never had a customer that left a lotion here. I asked her to contact the owner as I know he remembers me. She refused to and pointed at the business cards.
Long story short, Missy basically kicked me out and mentioned that I wasn’t welcomed back to the shop.
It’s not about the $ 5. It doesn’t kill me to pay that little amount when I come all the way here from Coquitlam. It’s just the customer service that I am disappointed with. I contacted the manager and he apologized but that won’t really do anything as I will never go back!

What an awful hole in the wall! Abantu is way better but was out of stock on my fav clip in hair piece so i chanced butterflies. Rude staff. Very LOW QUALITY OVER PRICED products. Complete garbage that of course has a «no refund» policy. Disappointed angry and had to warn others.
Do not go here, $pend money here or try to communicate with the staff. Pointless. Stick to abantu accross the street on kingsway.

Great selection of different colours but employees aren’t friendly or helpful. Also I’ve had troubles with my $ 300 extensions and they won’t help.

Nancy is baddass for weaves! I can’t comment on the hair I buy mine from abantu and bring it there to be put it. I was referred my a suuuuuper picky friend and now we all go to her. I’ll never go anywhere else. She is really sweet too. :)
There was another girl doing another girls weave beside me and she did really good too by the looks of it. The price is great too 40 $ a row. I’ve been to places for more that did complete wack jobs to my hair.

Lots of selection, lots of colors and hit and miss on quality and make. I come here ’cause depending on budget I can always get something whether for work, play or cosplay. My issue really is with the staff. Some are helpful while others have no clue at all. Very frustrating. Their weird about their try on policy which in theory makes sense, just approached badly. I come here often ’cause it is close to me.

I’m so happy with the service at Butterflies. Mason, the owner, gave me helpful information and incredible service that I’ve never gotten at any other hair shop (I’ve been to ‘em all). I appreciate the help and the great service, even though I was in a rush Nancy helped me out! I highly recommend this shop :)
