Delicious samosas here! Odd for a pizza place but it was delicious!

The sad thing about Avi’s is the pizza is actually pretty good. The service has always been a little sketchy at best, they always seem a little irritated when you call them however it seemed to be improving. Tonight we ordered two pizzas and after almost two hours of radio silence we decided to call and see what was up. Maybe the order had been lost or they couldn’t find our place. The guy was insanely rude and impatient towards my girlfriend who is a generally pretty soft spoken and polite person. He seemed just generally upset that she would even call to ask and begrudging told her he had just put it in the oven. I know first hand kitchen work can get off the rails, I’ve even done the pizza gig and people can be super cruel over the phone but there was no reason to get short. It sucks because it’s pretty good and I don’t like chain pizza, but I’ll live.

I have now had pizza from Avi twice and tried a total of 4 types. I really liked the house special and the mediterranean(with the addition of spinach). We had some hungry people in the house so they worked to get the pizza out quick. I have not eaten in, but I will be calling them again for pizza when I don’t want to leave the house. Both drivers were very nice and looked professional which for some reason makes me feel better about the food that I was about to eat. What would make it a five star, tough to get a five star on pizza from me as I like to hit up authentic deep dish in Chicago a few times a year…

. I get Pizza at the AVIPIZZAFACTORY quite often. The Pizza is made from high quality ingredients that make it taste better. They have take out Menus on their wall, but Im not too sure if they deliver anymore. It doesnt matter to me since I live a block from their location. When they hold that East Indian Festival on Rumble every year, I see their Pizza boxes around so I think they Donate their Pizza to that. If they dont a lot of the Restaurants in this neighbourhood do. They have free food and non-Alcoholic drinks for everyone that watches or gets involved. They used to Employ someone from Romania that knows how to make Pizza, but if they are like the East Indian places I worked at, they take that knowledge and you dont work for them anymore.

It’s a great place for value but it’s the inconsistency that drives me crazy. Out of 4 times I’ve ordered this year, twice they bailed out on delivery: just limited drivers. Well at least they manned up to admit it, instead of saying, ‘it’ll be there soon”. Located across the BuyLow Foods plaza. Street parking.

These are the grease wheels you are looking for! This place has a $ 9 large 2-topping pickup special I deem to be the best bang for the buck in the area– and I drove from east Richmond to get this pie– well I had to go to S. Burnaby for groceries– Hamilton/Queensborough where I live is a complete doldrums mostly devoid of character or dining venues. Great spicy sauce, good cheese(bit o’ the cheddar as well) the dough was… good, despite looking like it might have been undercooked– it happens. The place is your typical hole in the wall, but has Potential. I will definitely be back. GREASEWHEELSZ!!!

I used to eat here all the time for a quick lunch. $ 1 for a generous slice? Deal! As time went on, however, I realized why it was so cheap. It wasn’t overly good. It was filling enough and very cheap at the time(I have heard the price has gone up to $ 1.50?). Otherwise, not too special. Not the most flavourful pizzas around, and they were relatively dry. On a side note, watch for the crowd at lunch time, as students from the nearby highschool pack the place like sardines. ~ DaSHAWN

This place is awesome. After waiting more than two hours for a pizza from Panago that never showed up and dealing with a rude phone agent who assured us it would only be another hour and to «be patient», My husband decided he’d try to find something faster and local. He came across Avi Pizza and we figured we’d give it a try. No regrets here! Avi’s is now our go-to place for pizza. The pizza here is better quality, better priced, fresh, fast, and the guy who runs the place is always super nice and clearly proud of his product. You can’t go wrong with a $ 13 loaded medium pizza that isn’t just pure grease. We’ll be ordering from here until we move out of the area. Highly recommend it. I can’t speak as to the rest of the menu items, but the pizza is faboosh! :)
