Monster Minder is Whitby’s favourite Dog Walker & Pet Sitter! Flexible Scheduling! Founded by a retired Police Officer with lots of training and experience. We are Vet. Recommended! Trust your beloved dog to a professional who is completly trustworthy & reliable! Bonded & Insured. The benefits of daily exercise are paramount for your dog’s health, behaviour, energy level, happiness and socialization. Daily activity is highly recommended by dog training and rehabilitation experts around the world. All walks are tailored to meet your dog’s specific needs and energy level. These will be determined prior to booking your dog’s first hike, during the free consultation in the comfort of your home. It will ensure your questions are answered and your pet’s health, behaviour, and training experiences are recorded.

We will pick your dog up from home, and take them on a 1 hour hike where they will enjoy local dog friendly parks & trails, with a leader certified in Pet First Aid & CPR.

Like many people, Bev Horodnyk is a pet owner and true animal lover. She always wondered why there were so few options when it came to reliable, quality pet care especially since so many people travel and lead hectic lives.

Bev is a retired Police Officer with a lifelong passion for animals of all kinds. She founded Monster Minder to pursue her love of animals and serve the needs of their busy owners in the Durham Region. As a locally owned and operated business, Monster Minder is devoted to keeping Durham Regions’s pets healthy, safe, and happy.

Our full menu of services is designed to suit every pet’s personality and requirements, whether it be dog walking, dog sitting, cat sitting, or looking after other little monsters like exotic birds, snakes, reptiles, potbellied pigs, mice, rats, chinchillas, guinea pigs, chickens, or rabbits.
