Prices are fair for the amount of food you get. The burgers are delicious. For a place that looks like a dive, the food will keep you wanting more.

Huge portions, very impressed. Good menu selection as well. Quantity is a 10/10, quality of food a 6.5÷10.

If you go to admirals order the junk pile. This will fill four people up, and it doesn’t even cost much.

This is as good as it gets portion size. You will be amazed at the prices and the portions. It’s almost criminal! Burgers are delicious and thick. Purchased a double bacon cheeseburger(go between 11am and 8pm and get free fries!). Peameal and all toppings HUGE! If you are looking at getting burgers at a reasonable price, this is the place to go! Make sure to ask them to cut the burgers in half, you may not finish it in one sitting!

First time visiting Brantford, taking a journey down memory lane, we searched for the perfect late night noshing joint. The Admiral shone brightly on the corner, drawing us in. I was told to go grab a table wait to be surprised by the food! The place is not fancy by any means. If you must, you could call this place grungy. The place is clean but an old fashioned greasy spoon and at 230am when the bars are letting out, It’s, well, definitely an interesting place to people watch if you decide to stick around. Ok so we ordered a meal to share: One cheeseburger loaded with two patties, mozzarella and cheddar cheese and fresh iceberg lettuce and tomatoes, etc all the fixings a burger should have minus the bacon, sigh… this burger is f’n huge!!! Next the small order of fries — -SMALL!!! this could feed a family of four! And pop on the side. I definitely didn’t eat most of the burger and I slowly munched on ¼ of the fries as we continued to people watch. This family owned business is a greasy gem in the rough and I loved it. Next time it’s giant poutine and milkshakes, or maybe a giant gyro? Open all night, I’m told I have to come after 3am so I can meet the older man, the father of this place, who has a dark mysterious reputation of his own. Basically, he has no safety problems or fears working the graveyard shift.

I’ve been going here for years. Traveling from Simcoe this place was always a source of amazing portion size, food quality, and wonderful foreign languages. The Admiral’s never attempts to rise above it’s dive joint atmosphere, never commits to a faux looks — it’s all authentic worn out. And it’s the perfect burger joint in Brantford.

Admiral is just one of those restaurants that you have to check out! We use the«junk pile» as an eating contest among friends, guarantee you can’t finish this meal in one sitting

We love the admiral. We don’t eat there often but it is a great treat from time to time. The prices are great and the portion are enormous. Order one meal and share it. Same goes for kids meals. The poutine is really yummy too. I don’t suggest eating in, not a cozy atmosphere but the food is great

Portions are huge, definitely the best poutine I’ve ever had in my life! Burgers are awesome they have a wide menu ribs, chicken, subs, cheeseballs, wings, ice cream… everything! Not much seating, and kind of a dive atmosphere, everything is worn down, definitely nothing fancy. In the winter its very cold, you’ll want to eat with your coat on, or just take it home. If you go, get the poutine… it’s my favourite

This place is great value for money. The bugers are really good and pretty sizable. My buddy ordered a burger with canadian bacon. It had 3 generous slabs of bacon on top of the burger patty. Just looking at it clogged my arteries. Even their regular burgers are big. Fries were awesome and there were a lot of it. I’ve been here thrice and willl defintely be a fourth.
