This review is for the professional sports arena side of the Powerade Centre. Have been here a couple of times and will likely be here a few more times over the course of the next year plus for Brampton Beast Hockey games. The parking situation is a tad tricky as you’ll need to enter from one side and exit another, but once you’ve got it figured out it actually makes for a smooth flowing transition. That said there is only one way in or out so if one of those is backed up good luck — you might be sitting for awhile. An observation I made when visiting recently is that it has some areas/amenities of a professional sports complex and other of a standard community arena that we all would have grown up playing hockey in as kids. I’ll give myself an ol’clap on the back because that’s exactly what The Powerade Centre is — part pro-hockey arena and part(3 parts technically) community arena. The concession stands are nothing to write home to mamma about, I went looking for a snack in the second period and all that was available was dried old slices of pizza pizza. Thank goodness for the restaurant upstairs, good menu, full line up of Molson beers and a great view of the action in all arenas. Definitely a A-OK sports arena overall and totally worth checking out

Four rinks here. Good size. Plenty of parking. Kids say the ice quality isnt that gr8. Food at upstairs bar is pretty good! Beer selection mediocre but being from the states, I’m spoiled by good beer. Easy to get to. Ive been at a lot worse rinks and a few better. Good facility overall!

Brampton Beasts Hockey game was incredible. Bramptonians are really into the game, lots of loud screams of encouragement for our home team. Tonights game was star wars themed, my son loved saying hi to the starwars stormtroopers. All the staff were really friendly, the beer was cold and the popcorn was warm. Overall a really enjoyable family outing. I definitely recommend taking your kids to watch the brampton beasts.

Three«everyday» pad and one«pro» pad good for may 3000 – 3500 spectators. The home of OHL Brampton Batalion and JrB Brampton Bombers. Also: — Summer leagues — Camps — Clinics — Local leagues — «Beer» leagues — etc, etc, etc. The ice is hardly ever vacant. There’s a small cath downstairs and a restaurant upstairs. The schedule for both is somewhat unpredictable. Sometimes you can catch a big concert here too. Outside: — several baseball diamonds(at least four or five) — a coule of road hockey boxes(if it’s warm and not reaining and it’s a weekend, those are never vacant). Getting there is a bit of a pain because there is no highway ramp on Kennedy. You need to get there by either using Steeles or Derry and then used Kenndy Rd to get to the arena. Beware of the regular speed trap if you are approaching the rink from the North(Steeles).

For 2 years in a row, The Meeting House” chose the Powerade Center as our venue for ONEROOF where members from different sites are gathered together for a family reunion. Worship music was played. Inspiring messages were shared. Great food was served in the parking lot and best of all… ANUNREALDANCEPARTY hosted by DJ Brux! It is siiiick!!! And that makes me a fan of this venue… Not the venue itself but the memories and friends made there!

SOEFFINGFARFROMTORONTO! I trekked nearly 2 hours in snow over maybe 3 diff transportation authorities(TO’s, Brampton’s, some others…) Poutine there SUCKED! No, I take that back More like: 1st bite: um, good? 2nd bite: hm… kinda good. 3rd bite: mm, this is GOOD! 4th bite: hm. kinda salty. 5th bite: meh. this sucks. *throws in trash* Got me a churro con dulce de leche from one of the latin vendors selling empanadas, arroz, etc. Wait a sec… this is CANADA. Wtf is going… Oh. One of the biggest bachateros in the world are playing in an hour. Almost forgot. Was sooo close to sneaking backstage. Would’ve if I didn’t want to be deported before I got to make out with my Romeo. Sooo nassty ;) Instead, snuck from nearly the worst seats available to the BEST(1st section, 5th row, stage left!!) at the insistence of this awesome Seating lady. Afterall, was there anyone else out of the thousands who traveled over 11 hours to see Aventura? Didn’t think so. Took amazing photos(check my profile and the ones here), got a drumstick at shows end, told Henry that I came 12 hrs to see them, and that«quiro un beso para mi cupleanos!” – I want a birthday kiss, and he blew me one, to which I yelled, «No! Para(from) Romeo!» Romeo = sexy lead singer who ALWAYS brings girls up on stage to kiss… except *that* show. :(:(:( Wasn’t sure how to get back so late so good thing I made friends there who drove me back to my doorstep in Toronto… and for free!(that’s a $ 70 cab ride btw) Thanks Powerade for having Aventura during my trip! I wouldn’t have seen them otherwise as it was the day before the very last show date! I hear Daddy Yankee is next?! :D
