Longo’s

Purchased the deli sliders and got horribly sick. Went in to complain to a Manager and was offered to replace the product which is ridiculous! If I never see egg salad again it will be too soon! Then after explaining that I threw it all up I was asked for a sample to test. Really?!? Finally I had to ask for my $$ back and I didn’t even hear an apology. I called Head Office and couldn’t even get anyone on the phone. I then called the store back and talked to another Manager who said he would file a complaint with Head Office-​why was that so hard!

Cool salad bar. You can create your own salad. It all adds up and you pay by weight.
You need this dessert. Reminds me of chocolate from Paris, France:

I had my first experience at Longos a few weeks ago and what a great shopping experience. Free carts, free bags, and amazing staff who even bag your groceries! Definitely a different experience to my usual weekly trip to no frills. Sure, it is more expensive but you get what you pay for. Everyone seemed to have a smile on their face, from the woman who helped me at the deli counter and recommended some nice cheese to serve to my guests, to the lovely lady at the bakery who helped me pick out a cake for a member of my team and wrote happy birthday in blue icing (by the way the cake and pastries were amazing!). Half vanilla and half chocolate… highly recommend!
Loved the variety here and they even grind their veal everyday! Great variety of fresh breads (olive bread? Yes please!), freshly made muffins, and even Haagen Dazs gelato! No frills definitely doesn’t carry that…
Will I go every week? Due to the prices and being slightly out of the way from my house compared to no frills, probably not, but when I want a special experience or having a dinner party or needing a nice cake, I will definitely be coming here.

When this place opened up a few years ago it was an interesting addition to Brampton grocery stores. It was always somewhat expensive, but they had some high-​end imported goods and decent weekly specials.
Now the specials are no longer worthwhile and the prices are consistently inflated.
I used to drive 10 km to get there, but I’d never do it now.

Used to be a fan of this supermarket, and even preferred supporting it due to their large selection of Italian items (I’m part Italian myself)… Unfortunately after you’ve been here a couple times, you start to realize the place is ridiculously overpriced, on par with something like Fortino’s if not even worse. Plus their meat selection is just awful with no actual butcher counter. Steaks are always nasty and discolored, and not cut very evenly. For these reasons alone I simply cannot recommend it at all.
