Apple Factory

Pies from the Apple Factory have been the grand finale of all Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for as long as I can remember. Located at the corner of Mississauga Rd and Hwy 7 in Brampton they are easily accessible to customers from all over. You haven’t experienced an apple pie until you’ve tasted an Apple Factory apple pie.

Like many other Bramptoners, I grew up coming here atleast once a month. I still tell everyone about this great little market just out of town from my hometown. I love the apple factory.

I have to say they have a great parking lot I am never allowed to go in the store so I can only write about the parking lot.
They have a cool tractor that you can play on.
They have some apple trees in the lot that once in while I might have a fallen apple.
They have fresh chickens and ducks behind a fence that I just look through and drool.
Everone leaving the store looks happy to see me.

Good produce here, I mostly come for the baked goods. The meat is also good, we used to buy our roast beef here all the time-​no complaints. They have a good variety of items. Also they’ve got some animals around the back to check out-​good for kids.

I have been coming here for most of my life and it always feels like a special event. The Apple Factory isn’t just a store, it’s a farm stand, a bakery, a grocery store, a farm. It’s amazing.
Their pies are delicious. You can usually find at least one flavour of pie piping hot and fresh out of the oven. I bought a peach pie and an apple pie. Peach is actually my preferred pie of those two flavours, but the apple was still warm by the time I got home so of course I had to cut myself a slice of apple. Flavourful filling, warm flaky crust. You can’t beat these pies.
Their produce is always top quality.

I loved the fruits, veggies, and bakery. The lemon butter tarts were off the hook!
My only complaint is the singing apple was so dusty it looked sad. Clean that fruit!!!

Okay, I’m going to be honest here, not every fruit and vegetable sold here is local. I was under the impression that they are but let me tell you even if they aren’t they will have the most potent taste and freshness than any other grocery store. For example, I bought strawberries that were not local and omg!!! I about fainted when I took my first bite!!. Their fruits and vegetables just look all happy and alive and can’t wait to be eaten. I bought their apple pie sand a few other pastries and they were so fresh and just made with love. The apple cider is outta this world, just how I like it not too sweet and over done with sugar. I was really impressed with their staff as well. I had a lot of questions and nobody seemed to be bothered at all by answering any of them. The ladies behind the pie counter are extremely friendly. I just love how you get this real down home feeling when you go there like we’re in the country for real. I need to comment on their prices as well. They are so reasonable it’s ridiculous. I shop at Fortinos and Its cheaper to shop here. I suggest everyone stop buying at there local grocery stores and make the trip out there. You will not be disappointed.

So thankful to have this place in town. Great bakery and even something as simple as hot dog buns are so tasty. My favourite aspect of this place is actually their meat department, and more specifically: their sausages. There’s over half a dozen varieties and virtually anytime we serve them to guests, they ask about them. Great hamburger meat and steaks. Good produce too. Not the cheapest prices, but «you get what you pay for», so quality has its price.

I apologize for my lack of creativity here but I have to echo some of my fellow Unilocalers and say «I LOVE the Apple Factory!
Located at the north west corner of Bovaird and Mississauga Road with plenty of parking, this place is a gem. Amazing fresh pies with so many varieties. They are listed on their website. Over the holidays my «go to» pies were the apple streusel, caramel apple, and lemon meringue.
I love just wandering the store. Great produce (I love their apples and all the different kinds!). Great breads (from ace bakery I believe), delicious pastries, butter tarts, cookies, loafs, and a lovely selection of savoury pastries. I recommend the sausage rolls, the chicken and vegetable pies, spinach cheddar rolls, samosas and Cornish pasties. Just throw them in your oven for 20 – 30 min at 350 degrees and your guests will be thrilled!
Great other mentions include their British chocolate section, Kawartha ice creams and other fun treats near the check out that are tough to pass up.
You must make the trip! You won’t be sorry :)

I love this place! The tarts, the veggies, the meat! Everything! They even have organic meat, I buy the organic steaks here anytime I cook up a good one. I’m going today to get some pie and some treats for my thanksgiving dinner Hopefully they are open :)

I love the Apple Factory!
There is a selection of locally grown produce as well as some that are not grown local but either way the comfort of The Apple Factory is hard to match. I have read some reviews that say the location of The Apple Factory is in the sticks. that is not true. It is just off of Bovaird and Mississauga road in Brampton. It does look country from the outside but that is the way one would want their farm stands to look, since fresh produce doesn’t necessarily grow in cities. I go usually for lunch and the specials are listed on a chalk board outside the store, then I take a walk around and check out the local items such as salad dressings and bread dippers. I love the apple slushies and cider in the winter. All in all I will continue shopping here and loving the Apple Factory for it’s quality and friendliness.

They have big apple outside of the store, we bought an apple slush for $ 2.50
Apple cider samples are available for you to try before you buy, and it was very tasty. Also, the cider is pasteurized,
They make some of the best pies .
Pecan pie is delish so good well worth the drive.
The Buttertarts are great and the priced right.

Every time I visit family and friends I have to stop by and pick up a few pies. They make some of the best pies I’ve ever eaten. Apple, Apple crumble, Cherry etc you name it they bake it!
Nice selection of apple butter, ciders as well. I’ve always experienced very friendly service here and the prices are very fair. I love this place and only wish we had this in Montréal.
Now I really feel like jumping in my car and doing a road trip. Really it’s that good!

A touch of country in the suburbs! Being fond of St. Jacobs, this store reminded me of that country feeling, but in Brampton!
There is a small «petting zoo» or caged area of chickens, roosters and a goat on the one side of the parking lot where for $ 0.25 you can buy some feed to feed the animals.
From the great big apple outside of the store, we bought an apple slush for $ 2.50 and though tasty, the ice chunks were a bit big, you did have to chew a bit to break down the ice.
This grocery store has all of your necessities, produce, meats, dairy, and baked goods. I was a bit disappointed that today most of the produce was from the U.S., but I did buy some produce that was grown locally.
As we were browsing, some music starting playing and a curtained off area rose to reveal a automated «veggie music band» with its star being the apple and they sang and danced to amuse the little kids in the store. Very nice touch! Totally unnecessary, but appreciated!
Apple cider samples are available for you to try before you buy, and it was very tasty. Also, the cider is pasteurized, so pregnant mamas and children can happily imbibe.
Finally the bakery area is fantastic, with very helpful service, explaining the different pies, and helping you decide which delicate pie to take home. The pie was warm when we received it and stayed warm until we ate it later that day. Highly recommended! We haven’t broken into the butter tarts yet, but they too look delicious!
So if you’re looking for a break from your regular grocery store and want some fresh apple pie, go to The Apple Factory!

Come here if you want the best (and cheapest!) Buttertarts in Ontario. The apple cider is fantastic, and try to get a frozen cider if you can, as they are pretty special.
The produce is a bit expensive, so I probably wouldn’t shop here, but what they make, they make damn well.

I have driven past here a couple times but never been in! From the outside it does look a tad dingy but it really is so refreshing when you walk in. Its got the feel of a typical farm shop, which is hard to come by in the area.
Not everything is local but there is still a wide variety of local produce. I loved the bakery section, the apple and cinnamon loaf cake is to die for and not to mention the famous apple pie. We bought some Apple Factory cheese which was tasty and a lot cheaper than Sobeys.
What made my day was the food section with products from the UK. I didn’t realize how much I was missing Branstons pickle, Walkers crisps and Digestive chocolate biscuits until I saw them!
All in all I really think this place is worth a visit, the pricing is very reasonable which came as a surprise and its great to bring kids also. There’s a cute Apple Factory toy train that circuits the store!

Best apple cider I’ve ever had in my life. Fresh and delicious. In summer time, they also have apple cider slush which is also incredible! The apple factory is also a nice little market with nice fruits and vegetables, baked goods… While you’re there, you should also try their pies that are baked in house. YUM!

Vous aimez les pommes? Vous aimez les variétés de pommes régionales? Alors c’est ici qu’il faut venir pour déguster des Honey Crisp, des Russet, des Spy etc. Mais ce magasin né se limite pas aux pommes, on y trouvera d’excellentes tartes saisonnières et une boucherie généraliste.
Pour les enfants, un groupe musical robotisé formé de fruits et légumes s’animé à intervalles réguliers et un train électrique fait le tour du magasin en permanence.

Very cute country store, not everything is local but I guess it’s normal. However if you are looking for locally grown, you will not leave empty handed. The bakery section is great, pies and cookies are fantastic. Cute animals on the side of the store, like a little farm. Quite cute.

Been going to this place for several years now and I go there for the purpose of their pies and apple cider. Sometimes, I will get the corn and whatever else the kids would like.
Their pies are very good and I usually get the blueberry.
My latest trip however was a bit disappointing. Got the blueberry and a cherry pie, two jugs of apple cider, an apple cider slushie for my little one and back home to Markham. When I tried the cherry, it was delicious, however when I tried the blueberry pie, which is one pie I ALWAYS get… the pie shell, crust and all, tasted burnt. When you look at it, you cannot tell it is burnt, it is only when you taste it, do you taste it being funky. If I lived closer, I would have driven back and asked for a new pie.
This experience was a first in terms of bad pie and hopefully the last.
Gave it 3.5 stars but would have given it a 4.

Located out in the sticks, you’ll find an apple-fetishist’s utopia, The Apple Factory!
I’ve been familiar with this place since I was a kid, and used to LOVE taking the drive over there. The place is just so laid back, with the giant apple-​shaped apple stand on the side of the building, which used to sell candy apples and apple cider, though I haven’t seen it open in some time. Maybe I’ve just been arriving at the wrong time? There’s also currently a petting zoo on the other side of the building, with a coin-​operated machine that dispenses feed for the animals.
Inside is your typical tiny grocery store/​butcher. They do sell many specialty items that you may not find at a regular grocery store, along with pretty much anything Apple that you can think of. But all of that is foreplay to the main attraction: THE PIES. They have their own little pie patrol that bakes the freshest, most delicious homemade pies, I don’t think I’ve ever bought one that wasn’t 100% fresh and amazing.
I’ve never really been a pie-​guy, but this place is different. And if you don’t want an entire pie, they also sell slices. Their strawberry rhubarb is amazing. I’ve never Jason Biggs’d a pie before, but the s.r. has definitely gotten a couple of suggestive glances from me.
As for the service, the employees are always very sweet, helpful, and have been known to give out free apple cider at times.
I also can’t complete this review without mentioning the Apple band. That’s right, a Chuck-​E-​Cheese-​esque Apple band is occasionally available to play on their mini-stage…you just have to catch them at the right time. Those apple rock stars can be pretty big divas.
