Sushi is always fresh and very friendly staff. Just don’t like the continuous price increases as I’ve been a customer for years and the prices keep going up every few months. Other then that small complaint. They are great. One of my favorites.

Delicious and fresh sushi every time, the dishes are also fantastic(highly recommend the oyakudon), the service is always very friendly and helpful too. They are very accomdating for allergies, including celiac, which is a huge plus. My only hang up is that like all sushi, it can be pricey and we’ve learned to order delivery ahead of time because it can take awhile.

With all of the«All You Can Eat» places popping up everywhere, it has become a case of quantity vs quality. Sakura is a breath of fresh air! The food is very good and the service friendly.

Ok, let me preface with saying that the sushi is worth a 4 stars but the service is bad. really bad. the wait staff seems inexperienced and the management don’t seem to help. in that one waitress was trying to cover all tables and take out orders while there were clearly many staff members in the back doing nothing. tables remained dirty the entire time we were there. and I’m not convinced the drinking glasses were being washed properly. rather just rinsed. after waiting 10 minutes to get a menu, I was already angry. but I was told the sushi is worth it. and it’s in Bedford with no other sushi options. so I was willing to wait. Then another 15 minutes to take our order. Then almost an hour for sushi. I was steaming. although the waitress acknowledged it was going to be a while she didn’t full inform us. we ended up getting the sushi boat meal. partially because it was in a boat but also because of variety. because of our wait they gave us free spring rolls, which was nice. they were actually super tasty. crispy and delicious. as well as delicious dipping sauce. Then we got our potatoes cake appetizer. which was pretty good. but I probably wouldn’t order again. Then the sushi boat arrived. wow whay a variety and it was super appealing. All of the sushi was delicious. all of it! and the rolls were super inspired. we loved the carribean roll the most. delicious mango on top! so yes the sushi was delicious. we ended up doing take out the next time. We got the veggie sakura meal. wow. this was even better. unbelievable how fesh nd delicious. and the price was great. 64 peices for 49 $ crazy deal compared to buying individual rolls. all I can say was it was all very delicious. so there you have it. Sushi is amazing. not just for bedford but rivals all downtown sushi. but don’t dine in, do the take out!

The best rolls in HRM! You will not regret coming here as the sushi is spectacular and the staff is as warm as a spring roll. I love Sakura.

I’m a sushi fan not that I know a lot about sushi but since I travel a lot for my work I do get to try Sushi in many different city… Quebec, Toronto, Montréal, Sudbury, Las Vegas and more… What a nice surprise to discover Sakura… In a mall!!! Because they had good review I decided to give it a try… Defenetly next time I’m in the area I’ll make a detour to try some more of their specialty rolls… Thanks to the cooks and very nice service… Long life to Sakura!

Tried this place a couple nights ago after recently moving to Bedford. The sushi was excellent, very fresh and tasty! Highly recommended.

Bedford’s culinary horizons keep expanding, and Sakura is helping to shake the perception of strip-mall dining in the area. I’ve visited Sakura a few times for lunch, both alone and with other diners. Their bento combos offer lots of choice between tempura, teriyaki, rolls, sashimi and tonkatsu. A cup of miso soup is included as well. The quality is decent although were I splurge on a dinner out I may have a few other choices I’d try first. Needless the say, the food tastes fresh, and for a sushi lunch it sure beats what you’re going to get from a nearby supermarket. I would recommend eating in, I ordered a take out bento and the container they put it in ended up cooking the sushi(eww). This was during their first month opening so hopefully that kink has been worked out. Give it a try.

Since moving to Bedford last summer, I have quietly complained about the lack of a sushi restaurant. So when I heard that my wish had come true, I had to go check it out! First off, I would consider myself somewhat of a sushi fanatic. I’ve been to just about every sushi restaurant in the HRM more than once. In fact, some would call me somewhat of a sushi snob(I’m OK with it). I really didn’t have high expectations the first time I went to Sakura(primarily because it’s in Bedford), which has been open for a little over three weeks now. I went with two friends on a Wednesday night and my experience was fantastic. They have a really great menu with everything you would expect and more. We ordered their house salad with ginger dressing, their sashimi combo(their octopus sashimi is delicious), spicy salmon roll, dynamite roll, sweet potato tempura roll, and one of their specialty rolls, the Golden Lobster Roll(my new favourite!). Sakura exceeded my expectations in every way. The service was great and Ivan, the sushi chef, came over to our table personally to check on us. He was so friendly and welcoming. Considering what we ordered, it was also one of the most affordable sushi nights I’ve had. I would go back in a heartbeat. Not only because it’s close to home, but because it’s now one of my favourite sushi restaurants in the city. As an FYI, they have only been open for about a month so it will be another month or so before they are licensed.
