Basic diner in a strip mall in Barrie. Not much to look at, but the food is pretty good and service is fast and friendly. They get extra marks for their options — gluten free, vegetarian, all are welcome here with good food. Nice find!

A very accommodating and hardworking owner. She made a vegan homefry with mixed vegetables and a beautiful and exotic fruit plate. Coffee was very good for restaurant coffee. Will absolutely return next trip,

My absolute favorite place to go for breakfast. Quiet and open early, this place has everything I’m looking for if I’m up at that hour. You can get a basic meal with eggs, bacon, and potatoes for a great value(I think it was between five and seven dollars or something like that) that is still decently filling. They have larger options too for a little more. Their French toast is absolutely fantastic if you’re willing to pay the extra dollar or so for the berries and whipped cream on it. Coffee is decent too. Wouldn’t recommend the steak and eggs, though, but in that case you get what you paid for. I’ve only ever had their breakfast menu, but based on that alone I’ll be going back quite a few more times.

I ate breakfast there twice while visiting Barrie on business. It’s clean, convenient to downtown, the service was excellent, the food was great and the price was right. I’ll be back.

Andy’s Place is a nice and quaint breakfast spot. It’s clean inside and very bright. It’s also a convenient location, as it’s close to Anne and Dunlop. That being said, I have been here for breakfast on three occasions; and on each visit I have experienced some problem with the service. I know what you’re thinking, it must be me! But I don’t think it is in this situation. On the first two occasions, the cashier misentered my bill. Fortunately, I discovered the error on both occasions. Notwithstanding this, however, it was still frustrating. Sometimes, when it is busy, it is also difficult to get refills for your drinks. Furthermore, today my toast did not arrive until I was nearly done my breakfast. So that wasn’t ideal. Other than those concerns, it’s a nice spot and fits in with the slew of breakfast places that are in Barrie, Ontario.
