Loved it. Awesome toppings you won’t find elsewhere. Burger was jucey and the old time pops are a fun touch.

Price is high, But, well worth it. Burgers are unique and delicious and the poutines are amazing! I love poutine, and they have their own take on one of my favorite foods!

Went there earlier today with a friend for lunch. We both had a burger, fries and pop. The fries were fantastic and the burger was tasty with fresh ingredients. Unfortunately though, this is where the positive notes end. Below is why I wasn’t impressed: — The woman taking our order at the counter seemed very annoyed and acted very much like she simply didn’t enjoy working there. — The place ONLY accepts cash. — The atmosphere/décor is run-down and needs some TLC. — At the end of the day for a burger, fries and bottle drink it’s roughly $ 15 per combo. This is pricing you’d expect in GTA, not here. — I too(like another reviewer) felt ill later on. Many trips to the washroom and upset stomach.

I visited Bistro Burger twice. I was drawn there because they claim to serve a gluten free meal. I ordered a burger, fries and coke each time. I was asked when i ordered if my request for a gluten free meal was a preference or due to an allergy. Not sure why the question was relevant at all but I made it clear I had Celiac disease. The bottom line is I got seriously ill both times. I spent the night in bed. My 4 hours of nausea only ceded due to frequent trips to the bathroom to throw up what I ate. I gave Bistro the benefit of doubt the 1st time but after the 2nd time I called one of the owners to discuss my experiences. He listened, said he’d check into food prep protocol and get back to me. He didn’t so I called 3 – 4 weeks later. Although he admitted that the«new» burger bun was discovered to contain gluten he insisted all protocols we’re in order. NOT!!! I made it clear to the owner that I frequented Bistro 77 so I imagined I’d be treated seriously. I wasn’t at all. The owner was so small town and myopic. Ive chosen to cross 77 off my list of restaurants. Too bad because it really is bit of a gem.

Burgers and poutine were great. Service was good. But the website severely needs an update. Both in menu items and prices. Burgers are really messy so be warned.

So, let me get it out of the way, the reason this gets 2 stars is simply because they don’t accept debit. I watched 4 people walk out because of it and I almost didn’t. If you want to stay in business, accept debit/credit. Now, the food. It was good. Cool take on gravy, burgers were fresh you don’t go away feeling horrible, but good. However, the price. I’m not coming back. My Favorite burger joint, burger priest is at least $ 5 cheaper, and they are even expensive premium burgers. We paid $ 32 for two drinks, two burgers and poutine. Anywhere else it would be $ 25-$ 28.

The hand-cut fries here are spectacular and they give you an obscenely large portion. My dining companion and I shared an order of fries(that came with my combo) and we barely finished half of them. The burgers are juicy and they taste great. I wish the patty wasn’t so densely packed and that it had a better char. Aside from that, the toppings were fresh and tasty and it was an enjoyable meal. The chipotle mayo is yummy.

Locally sourced, hand crafted, gourmet, not to mention delicious burgers! They even have a gluten free bun option(potato bun) which was great. My hubby and I were visiting the area for the weekend from Toronto and found this through other Unilocal reviews as a place to grab lunch! Glad we did. Amazing!

im not an expert in burger but today my husband bought me burgers from this place, he bought seven deadly sin and beastro train wreck burger combo(u can read the menu from their website if u want to know what inside the burgers and the prices).so i will just make a lil bit review. The burger were so big that i can only ate a half of that, maybe because so many things inside the burger not because the burger’s size itself. i think those were really tasty compare to other burger ive tasted, the beef was not dry like the most of burger ive ever eaten. For the beastro wreck, because the buns r fried with breadcrumb. i think its too much grease and too oily for me, thats why just two bite of it made me a lil bit nausea. but the taste was really good tho, just because its deepfried so maybe better to choose the other kind of burgers there: p…the fries was good, i can tell its not frozen. its really freshly cut potato which is good :)…so i definitely will come back and i want to try the pork poutine, it seems really delicious… if only i can eat all at once i will…

Not to undersell the establishment but it is more or less a step up from New York Fries’ venture into the burger joint genre, South St Burger Co. The fries are very similar and were tasty. However, I was hoping the fries would be more unique. I thought they would be like bistro style frites. Their suggested designer burgers look venturous, but I always judge a food establishment on the basics. So I simply ordered the 1⁄3 pound combo with fries. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the meal. The burger is better than South St Burger Co., and bigger for what it’s worth! The ambience is burger nostalgic, but clean and trendy, for lack of a better word. The staff, seemed a bit shy, but very nice. I was disappointed that it was cash only. The wait was fine considering there were four orders before me, and much faster than South St Burger Co. My fav burger still is Licks, but Bistro Burger Joint is a welcome addition to Alliston, and I will return. My only advice would be to tweak the fries, and that may avoid the unfair comparison to South Street Burger Co. Good luck with your success

3.5÷5 ***** with a possible rating change after I taste their fries and other menu options. This place is brought to us by the same guys(Ryan and Jason Klausen) that brought Bistro Seven Seven to Alliston. Naturally, the expectations are high. If you look at Bistro Seven Seven on Unilocal!,there are only two reviews with mine still to come but believe me, it’s fine dining. Probably the best steak I have EVER had. Anyway, Bistro Burger Joint is located across the road from Bistro Seven Seven. They have renovated the place and it’s clean and cool inside. In the middle of the store there’s a display of bagged white potatoes that were locally grown(Alliston is the Potato capitol of Ontario). The menu isn’t large. It consists of 3 main burgers: 1⁄3 lb. beef, veggie(portabello mushroom) and a fish burger with a large list of both complimentary condiments as well as some others for an additional fee such as avocado, goat cheese, smoked bacon and others. They also have a gluten free potato bun, fries, poutine with a red wine gravy, various bottled specialty drinks(non-alcoholic), salads, shakes and baked potatoes. Everything was made to order so though it is fast food, expect to wait a bit for your burger. There was literally one person in front of me and I had to wait about 10 minutes after I ordered for my burger. I got the«Off the Hook» rainbow trout burger which is battered and fried to perfection with a crispy outer and juicy flaky fish on the inside. I topped mine with lettuce, tomato, pickle, avocado and goat cheese and it was amazing. It gets a little sloppy mid way through and the bun seemed a tad oily but it was delicious none the less. Maybe I’m just a sloppy eater though. The burger alone with the amount of sides that I had to pay for came to about $ 10.85. I’ll say this though, if you’re craving a burger in town and don’t care much for fries, the price is worth it. You get a hearty burger that’s made fresh and and has variety. 100x better than Harvey’s. The next time I’m here I will probably try the veggie burger — fried portabello mushroom, sounds interesting. Maybe next time I’ll even try the fries, or poutine.
