Michael’s Hair Studio

This is the best hair salon I’ve been to in a long time! Everyone is very professional and friendly, and my stylist Megan always does an amazing job on my hair. They’re always very busy and you it’s easy to tell why!

Had my first haircut at Michael’s Hair Studio with Michael himself and I will be back regularly I usually don’t cut my hair very often because its long and he actually made my long hair look amazing. Plus I’ll be bringing my 16 year old son.

I went to Hair Fashion 3000 before coming here — I had Michael do my hair he is AMAZING. Firstly he is time efficient (unlike Hair Fashion 3000 (Cam there)) who takes a dogs year to do your hair. So glad I tried Michael’s Hair Studio.
Firstly: you walk in (the salon is at the quaint mall in Old Ajax), the salon is stylish and chic — the receptionist is friendly and offers you coffee, tea, water etc. THIS NEVER happens at Hair Fashion 3000.
If you look at the site you will see the salon proactively sends the staff to colour competitions, cutting classes to keep up with the latest red-​carpet styles and trends. Michael has won and participated in many competitions in Toronto so that is what resonated for me to go try another salon (other than Hair Fashion 3000 where I used to go)
Colour: I was seated — Michael came and we discussed colour. I wanted to go a butterscotch (kind of like Sofia Vergara/​Jennifer Annison colour) that matches some extensions I have. The guy knocked it out of the park. The colour was amazing. My colour was washed out initially due to the summer sun, Michael made my hair a million bucks, adding to my current tones of my hair to match the extensions.
Cut: I wanted to keep the length (I had been growing it for a while), and Michael gave me a really chic cut that kept the length but cut the dead ends and really cleaned the hair up to be more stylish, chic, modern and healthy. I am happy as my length was maintained and the cut just really defined my face and features so much better and made for a much healthier hair style that is easy maintain.
Cost:l for colour/​cut etc was $ 104.00 with a 20% discount — same price as Hair Fashion 3000 — but Michael’s salon is more modern, chic, run more efficiently, and Michael is an excellent stylist (phenomenal colour and cut that I received).
I seen the other stylist doing hair and customers received excellent service and styles from the others in the salon also — so you can’t go wrong at this salon.
So good my mom is going tomorrow for her cut and colour.
Thanks Michael for the great hair-​do. If you are looking for a new salon this is the place to go to 100% you will love your hair.
Parking: tons of parking in the mall

I’ve been going to see Megan at Michael’s Hair Studio for about a year now and I love her! She is an amazing stylist! She listens to what I want and provides great input to help me look my best! I would recommend her to anyone! The studio has a warm atmosphere and everyone is very welcoming.

My first time here was based on the reviews I read before deciding on a place and they were quite accurate. I can safely say that this was the best «experience» I’ve had in a hair salon in the GTA. The owner was professional, courteous, personable, and genuine in his demeanor and mannerisms. He took a personal interest in getting to know me as a new client and I felt very comfortable from the time I entered right thru to payment time. Not only that but the haircut looks great and I felt leaving great. These people get to know their regulars and even drop-​ins and understand the importance of relationship building — it shows. If you’re looking for a hair salon in the area, look no further… This is the one.

I have been here twice now and completely satisfied — from the price to the tlc. I have watched others getting their hair done as well — all professional. Megan is mine but the others are incredible!!!
