History

Established in 2002.

Scotia Entertainment was born in 2002 while the owner, Terry Holdershaw was finishing up his Audio-​Engineering Technology program at Trebas in Toronto. In the beginning Scotia Entertainment worked with a lot of independant musicians, organized showcase nights and provided freelance sound and DJ services. Around 2006 Scotia Entertainment shifted more towards Professional DJ, Live Entertainment & Audio-​Visual Services for Weddings and Corporate Events. In 2009 Michelle Clayton was brought on board to help with the fast growing DJ and Wedding side of the business with sales, customer service and coordination.

Business Owner

Terry Holdershaw grew up in rural Nova Scotia, always having an interest in music and live sound production. He DJ’d school events, the high school radio and private parties throughout high school as well he played in several bands and started to learn live sound. In 2001 he moved to Toronto to further his education and look for work in the entertainment field. It was while he was in college Terry started Scotia Entertainment and realized that he could pursue DJ’ing and Live Sound (Audio-​Visual Services) as a career he was very interested and passionate about. Terry is now one of the GTA’s most sought after Special Event & Wedding DJ’s on the market.
