Where to begin? Me and the mrs had gone here on several occasions and ignored the bad service(basically being ignored, and lord help you if you wanted a 2nd glass of water) but the food was tasty so we put up with it. Until last time. Let me preface by saying I have eaten in open air markets in Haiti, Africa and the Philippines and China. No regulations, no «danger zone» and probably no washing of hands. And I have NEVER gotten sick from any of it. But this place gave me such bad Indian food I was unable to think about eating it for an entire year. I was sick for 4 days with vomiting and cramps and other natural and unnatural ways bad food would exit. I felt like I was giving birth to molten steel and magma. My toilet has PTSD. I would never recommend ANYONE go to this place unless you want to shave several years off your life or if you are a civil war re in actor and wish to know how dysintery feels. If you want Indian go to «Gians»

Have eaten here on two separate occasions when staying at the Best Western across the street. The building and interior are nondescript but the food is excellent. Flavorful and spicy. Very reasonable prices. Had the chicken vindaloo last time I was there. Can’t wait until business brings me back to Abbotsford so I can eat here again!

Was staying at the best western across the street on business and needed to eat after a long day. The abc had an hour wait on tables so despite the dated exterior I gave this place a go. Had the best curry I’ve eaten since I moved here from the uk. For 15 bucks for curry, naan, rice and a beer you cant go wrong. The décor is dated and don’t expect the same kind of service as a Boston pizza but the food was fresh and full of flavour. If you’re hungry, don’t want abc food and don’t want to drive anywhere give it a go.

Slow to seat, slow to serve, asked for the hot dishes and recieved mediocre mild dishes. Would only go back for the buffet.

Shiva is a quiet and simple space with good service from the owner. I ordered with the dahi vada, which I have never tried before, and the lamb korma. The vada were alright, although I admittedly have no point of comparison. The korma was tasty with a lot of bold flavours and well-cooked, extremely tender lamb. The only downfall to the meal was that the portion sizes are a little on the small side which left my companion and I seeking a snack not long after. With that in mind, just make sure to order an extra dish to make up for it when you visit.
