My last experience with the Keg was not outstanding. However, I’m always willing to give it another go. We went for dinner last night to celebrate our anniversary. Initially we had ordered the calamari appy, however the breading tasted very bland, and hubby found it quite greasy. We mentioned it to our server, Kara, and she was very understanding. Asked us if she could replace it with anything. We opted to leave it be for now, as the delicious bread with that incredible cheese butter had arrived(that’s my fav appy anyways). Hubby ordered the half lobster and steak which is part of their special summer lobster menu. Wow, that lobster is huge. He really enjoyed his and had no complaints. I ordered the classic dinner — Teriyaki steak. Was surprised at the value in this one. The 8oz marinated steak also includes a side of veg, your choice of side, AND a starter caesar. I think I’ve found my new favorite. My first few bites of the steak were rather underwhelming. Rather than tasting the teriyaki, or even the steak flavor, all I really got was charcoal. Somehow my med-rare steak managed to taste VERY dry as well. After complaining about the appy, I was somewhat hesitant to mention to Kara that I was not pleased with the steak. But I took a peek at the underside of the steak, solid black. Again, right away she offered to have a new steak put on and said she was going to mention it to the manager. Not long after, the manager came out with my replacement steak(and new mashed potatoes!) and said that my dinner was on the house. FANTASTIC service! All I ever expect when my food isn’t right is just for them to make it better. To have them both replace my food and comp it was unexpected. Very impressed with them going above and beyond. Finished off our meal with coffees and their incredible Billie Miner Pie(oh so good). Really impressed with the service. And it takes a lot for me to say that!

No one in my opinion does steak better than the Keg. I ordered the steak, and a side of crab legs and I am convinced that this is the food they serve in heaven. The warm bread with that 3 cheese butter is the ultimate bonus. Nothing but great things to say about this Keg. This just isn’t food, its a social experience that just happens to be inside a beautiful restaurant. Keep doing what your doing because I’m a raving fan.

This was a traumatizing experience and it made me go back to being a vegetarian. My husband and mother in law went to this location on Saturday for a pre Easter dinner, right away I am annoyed because they put up right by a high traffic area but I don’t say anything cause I don’t want to set the tone. When the waitress came over and took our drinks order she wouldn’t even make eye contact with me till I tell her I would like diet Coke and she replies is diet Pepsi ok? There was a bit more annoyance, I replied ice tea. When I got the ice tea it was actually warm and there were only a few ice cubes in it and it tasted weak. When the salad came I actually sliced my mouth on the fork, there was a small dent in the fork… I’m not making this up. I changed forks and by this time I am pretty angry with the place. Then we get our prime rib and it’s a pile of tasteless garbage. It had a slab of fat in it and I was chewing on a piece of plastic. I lost it. The manager came over to tell me that it was silver skin, like I was an idiot or something, I was just about to say«Do you expect me to believe that?» when he said the meal was on the house. Then my husband finds the same piece of plastic in his dinner and they do nothing. After all is said and done the bill was $ 180.00. For what you ask, I don’t know. This was the worst meal I have ever had and I would love to see Chef Ramsay come there and rip them to pieces because they would deserve it. He makes a great point… when your customers can do better, you must raise the bar. I am appalled, and the Keg is nothing but over priced carcass and you would probably do better with road kill.

Steaks are generally pretty good and serviers are usually a lot of fun but ouch, pricey!

I wanted steak, and they delivered that… and an awesome honest employee! My boyfriend is usually picky about the meat he eats(he rarely does), so he asked the employee about the source of beef/how it was raised. The server made it clear that he wasn’t sure, but said something like«It was probably treated badly… but it’s delicious!» We appreciated his honesty, and appreciated that(after a «no dairy, gluten» mention) he suggested we check out their nifty nutrition menu. My boyfriend learned that their steamed asparagus(I think that’s what it was) is not free of gluten! Never would have guessed that… and still not sure how it happens. We ended up pleased with everything we ordered, and actually ended up with food left over because I think my steak(yeah, I’m horrible, but I really wanted it) came with an extra side that we forgot about. When I finished my steak, I remember thinking«That small piece was enough to satisfy my meat cravings for like a month.» Not a bad first experience with the Keg Steakhouse chain… not bad at all!

Excellent food and service. No reservations required. Expensive, but you get quality.
