It felt like we bunked with the people(or were they elephants?) staying in the room above us. We could hear every little sound and every little movement as if it was happening in our room and not a floor above us. It’s not like we could just hear them walk around, but we could hear every single word of conversations. Unfortunately, this also means we could hear their bed springs squeaking at night and their pillow talk when they were, you know… I’ve never slept as poorly as I did the two nights we had to stay at Hotel Bla Bla, since there is absolutely no soundproofing and the walls vibrate with every noise. I get that it’s a very old building(and it is a cute exterior), but thrown down some carpet or something to help with that. The front desk was not manned 24/7, which means that when we showed up at the time that we had said we would, the front desk person was at lunch and the doors were locked. We had to stand outside and wait until they returned. Not a big issue, but kind of a hassle. The rooms were clean, but there was barely room to set our backpacks down. I’m not sure how this would work if someone traveled with larger luggage. Lastly, I know this is probably a weird complaint, but it grossed me out that they stored the toilet paper rolls on the toilet brush stick. I’d suggest investing in something else because it’s pretty icky to have clean toilet paper touching such a dirty cleaning brush. Aside from an excellent location, I struggle to think of anything positive that would make me recommend this place.
