Fantastic place! It has the old charm to it, with antique clocks over the bar and an antique motorcycle on section of the bar near the window, as well as the brick behind the bar and beautiful crown moldings on the ceiling.
I had the recommended bacon burger special, and it was terrific as well as reasonably priced. Beer is a bargain at 2.50, genevers at 3.50
The lady behind the bar was super friendly and explained the different options on the menu, as well as recommending other places to visit during my stay in Antwerp.
Stopped in at six, and it was busy. By six thirty it was packed!
Another highly recommended placed in Antwerp.

Cool place. Came for dinner and got the Vol au Vent and fish burger. Both very good. Sturdy baby high chair was available. Lots of outdoor seating but we stayed inside.

I was finally there today for lunch! A great place with a nice atmosphere. I tested the burger that was part of the daily special. The service was friendly, the neat tasty what more to ask? :) I will be back!

It´s one of my favorite places in Antwerp. Really good place in general and with nice atmosphere. Its good to have some beers and talk with friends and also to eat. The food is really tasty, although the menu is quite short and once you’ve been several times it gets repetitive. I suggest the change the menu once in a while ;)

Restaurant half empty. Tables with teservations that start more than an hour later and no way to have a quick bite. Not really helpful staff and no clue about the wait time. Need to say we walked away?

Nettes belgisches Restaurant mit den typischen regionalen Speisen, ergänzt um eine kleine Tageskarte. Das «Stovflees» war sehr gut mit knusprigen Pommes. Die Hühnerbrust Tandoori von der Tageskarte allerdings trocken und wenig inspiriert.
Zwei Stella bestellt und zwei andere Biere bekommen mit dem Hinweis, die seien auch gut… wir nehmen es mit einem Augenzwinkern.
Dennoch eine Empfehlung, tolle große Terrasse vor dem Restaurant.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. There was lots of outside seating and the price was in line with what I would expect to pay in Antwerp. I had the Carbonade flamande (beef stew) with French fries and it had an excellent flavor. The bread was also very good. The waiter was friendly and spoke English extremely well. Service was quick.

We really love K. Zeppos. The food is really delicious and I would say, not that expensive. Their daily specials are also delicious and a combination with the daily soup is really not expensive.
My favorite is vegetarian lasagna. It’s unbelievably delicious (i’m serious, no one expects that taste from a vegetarian lasagna)
You might want to reserve if you’re going with a group there. If the weather is good, you can sit outside and chill. highly recommended!

Kapitein Zeppos is especially enjoyable thanks to it’s massive terrasse right on the middle of the place. Go there to see and be seen. And the snack menu is always welcome when you had a little bit too much of wine or beer! ;-)

Pretty good place! Dropped in after roaming around Antwerp all day. It was almost filled with people during dinner (a good sign). The staff were very accommodating to these lost American tourists, and the food was great as well!

It’s awesome how easy it is in Antwerp to combine good food with a great atmosphere. Kapitein Zeppos is one of those places where everybody likes to come for just a beer, lunch or for a big dinner.
The interior feels like a dive bar but it’s actually very bright in the front thanks to the big window.
The food is honest and delish!
If you like it more romantic, I would suggest you go sit in the back where it’s more cosier and dark. Service is fast and friendly and they have a wide variety of specials that change on regular base.
A must-​be place in the summer thanks to their great patio with full sun the whole day!

The receptionist recommended me to go to K.Z. when I asked for a place with affordable good food. Thankfully I followed her advice.
Nice restaurant with many wooden tables. Plenty of seating when I arrived Saturday around 5 o’clock. I was having a pre-​show dinner and wanted to be satisfied. I ordered the vegetarian lasagna. It came out piping hot in a lovely cream sauce, lots of veggies too. The serving was filling and tasty. They also give you some delicious whole grain bread while you wait. Topped it off with a Leffe and my meal was complete.
My waiter was very nice (and handsome). His English was quite good except for forgetting a few words here and there. (He described one plate to me as Bambi which made me choose the veggie option ultimately).
Great service. Nice ambiance. Good food.

le genre d’endroit où on se sent bien, en tout cas moi… intérieur chaleureux (et chaud… refuge quand il pèle!), public mélangé, petite carte roborative, soin apporté à la déco et à l’éclairage et musique dans laquelle on se love volontiers. un bon moment!
