I’ve been to a few one stars, but this is the first time I’ve been to a two star. So please keep that in mind when reading this review. I have to say that as much as I tried not to, I ended up having high expectations for this place. This place definitely met and even exceeded those expectations. We had the 5 course with wine paring and I couldn’t believe the amount of food we had. I’ve always been under the impression that haute cuisine was small and not that fulfilling. I couldn’t finish desert. Every course was a piece of art and the flavors were equally impressive. The beetroot skin was without a doubt the most mind blowing. I kid you not when I say it tasted like pork rinds and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t fried in lard. My second favorite was the mushroom dish. I’d like to think I’m pretty good at preparing mushrooms and this dish blew that away. The only disappointing part, and mind you I say this because I began to have exceedingly high expectations, was the red wine pairing with the beef at the end. Definitely worth the money and I can’t wait to try the 9 course!
