After walking along the river, past Het Steen Castle, we headed down some ‘off the beaten path’ streets and to get out of the cold came across Lids, located in a nice little square. We didn’t eat here so cannot really give you any usable information on the food but the place wasn’t very big but most tables were occupied, mostly by an older crowd, who I would guess were locals and they seemed to be enjoying their food. It certainly looked good and I wished that I was hungry myself! I love the décor; there are lots of little pictures and paintings all around. We just had drinks, hot chocolate for me, which was hidden below all the whipped cream.
