Been here, now two evenings in a row. I had the antwerp stew and a half bottle of château la commanderie. The two were perfect together. The staff are all lovely and I will definitely be coming back again!

It’s been a while since I was last here but if I go to Antwerp again this will be one of the first places I’ll visit!
Beautiful décor, be it a bit dark (at night obviously). Always busy, says enough! All the food I’ve had here was amazing, either lunch or dinner. One of my favourite places in Europe! Try the croquettes!

Stopped in for a drink and sat outside. Took a while for the service but once he came out we got our drinks fast enough. Had a beer and a dark and clouded cocktail. The cocktail was a bit tart for me. Didn’t have any food.

Good for cocktails, known in Antwerp. Wannabe exclusive, but take look at liquors: all from local supermarket. Nothing more, not for experts or looking for rare spirits. Food just mainstream, slightly overpriced.

My first meal in Belgium. I was excited to try their beer and frites! So we came upon this café which is super cute and in the heart of Antwerp. right next to the Cathedral. Atmosphere was nice and hip. and the waiter was very friendly and helpful. We came during lunch. and I should have tried the Belgium stew. but I was stupid and wanted fries. So I ordered the Club Appelmans. It was delicious. Very fresh and delicious. Would go back for their stew.

Really cool atmosphere. Modern brasserie in the heart of Antwerp’s old town. I had the Antwerp stew which was delicious especially paired with one of many styles of grimbergen beers. The ms. Had the sea bass which was pan fried over a variety of veggies. Both were excellent. Highly recommended. Thank you four square for the deal as it brought us over to check out the menu and convinced us to eat here.

Disappointing as a restaurant.
I have to say that I did not expect a lot from a nice-​looking restaurant right in the centre of Antwerp. Ok, foodwise it’s a tie. The burger was actually very good, but the Caesar’s Salad was boring and not yummy despite being very expensive (after all they were serving the original Caesar’s Salad, i.e. just plain salad with dressing, chicken, parmesan and nothing else).
The atmosphere of the restaurant is a little cold, with dark tables and benches, lots of mirrors and friendly red brick walls. It all looked more like a posh bar than a restaurant to me.
What really struck me was how I was treated as a guest and customer. You had to wait for hours to make your order, orders were forgotten and the staff seemed busy preparing for the evening instead of taking care of their customers.
