Pretty disappointed with here after reading all the wonderful reviews. I gave 3 stars only because the mister reckons his pizza was one of the best he’s ever had. I got the beef raviolli and it was awful. The portion sizes were more than generous but the raviolli was bland :(Im tempted to say the sauce tasted like it came out of a jar but to be perfectly honest ive had better sauce out of jars. Id probably go back and try another dish before writing the place off completely because the dishes served around us looked amazing :( Like i said, disappointing

Pretty nondescript location but you can tell it’s a gem by the number of punters typically dining in every night. Great Italian food, tried a few different pasta dishes and they’re all winners. Highly recommended.

I really really wish I could give this more stars but it just wasn’t that great. They may have been having an off night? We ordered the penne cabonara, gnocchi bolognaise and pizza. It was all quite nice but not something I will be finding myself craving anytime soon. The gnocchi was nice and light and the toppings of the pizza were good. Nothing was bad but it wasn’t too amazing either. I’ll visit again at a future point — perhaps I have just ordered the wrong thing as this place does look busy most of the time and the inside looks super nice.

Great little Italian restaurant which is walking distance from our place. BYO with no corkage is a great plus. The food is delicious I had the chilli mussels which ill definitely have again. The garlic bread is really nice too. Be careful though its CASHONLY so make sure you bring some of your hard earnt or you’ll be doing the walk of shame to the IGA or if you stay late like we did walking to the petrol station for some cash! Lucky the staff are really easy going, our setback was no problem.

So my boyfriend and I were thinking about what we wanted for dinner tonight and he suggested Gino’s. I quickly googled and Unilocal this place and to be honest at first I was a little unsure as it looked like it was a part of a corner store deli… not so pretty! However I was pleasantly surprised by everything. The food was great! Ordered a simple garlic bread and ravioli. As an Italian myself I can honestly say this was one of the nicest ravioli dishes I’ve had. The restaurant itself certainly wasn’t fancy but it felt rustic and homely. So I didn’t feel the need to dress up which is kind of nice for a change :) Over all, two thumbs up

I have been waiting to try a range of dishes from Gino’s before I reviewed. Summary: I’m a fan! Dishes are very reasonable and the pasta dishes are of a really high quality. The spaghetti marinara was full of fresh tasty seafood(no tinned mussels used here). The gnocchi was some of the lightest and fluffiest I have encountered. The pizzas aren’t as good as the pasta, but they’re still my favourite local pizzas and I prefer them much more than the very popular Mario’s on Wanneroo Road. I have only gotten takeaway, but checked out the interior when I collected the food and it’s pretty basic. The main downside is that it’s cash only.

Could this small neighbourhood italian restaurant be the long lost west coast cousin of my favourite lygon street place papa Gino’s… Well the pizza is certainly up there. It had presentation style and the taste will have my taste buds dancing for the rest of the night. I don’t know how I have waited this long before I tried this italian gem hidden away in yokine. It has a great selection of pizzas and pastas, seating in the front of the store and a few tables tucked away at the back of the store if you want to sit somewhere quiet. BYO wine All pizzas made fresh right there in front of you. Can’t wait to try the pastas or a different pizza

We’ve been getting takeaway from Gino’s for a few years now and decided we’d dine in for something different. As a semi-regular customer, I’m surprised I had never noticed the outdoor seating in the back of the restaurant before… unless it’s new? In any case, we decided to sit out there which was quite pleasant. It had been a very hot day and it was reasonably cool out the back and there were a few other tables of people around to give it some atmosphere. We decided to share a pizza and pasta. Both were great. Their carbonara is delicious. We didn’t finish the pizza but took the rest home in some foil for next day pizza amazingness. Great little(reliable) suburban Italian restaurant. Two thumbs up.

My new favourite Italian local is Ginos. Tucked away on Flinders St in Yokine it’s a little treasure. Décor is nothing particularly flashy, but service is fast and friendly, byo wine has no corkage fee and the food is the star! Generous servings of home-style Italian food at very reasonable price. Beautiful sauces, delicious pasta, quality meat and perfect garlic bread. So glad we finally got ourselves there and I can’t wait to head back soon and try the pizza. Gino himself is a pizza making machine! You can see the man himself busily preparing the pizzas and popping them in the oven. I’ll be back soon I’m sure :)
