Just tried this place for the first time even though I’ve lived in the area for a while. Don’t know why I waited so long — their pizza is delicious! The marguerita is drizzled with balsamic and covered in fresh sliced tomatoes. The Hawaiian also had fresh ingredients. The order was ready significantly quicker than menulog predicted on a Saturday night. I got takeaway, but I will definitely go back and eat at the restaurant and try other pizzas.

Sometimes the only thing to help get over a self induced headache from the night before is some pizza and Pizza Moncur does exactly that. There are some great pizza’s on the menu and I like to vary it every time I go there but the scallop and chorizo, tandoori chicken and lamb, spinach and feta are always high on the list. If you need something healthier there’s a couple of salad options and if you think a crisp beer or glass of wine will help the meal(which it generally does) there’s plenty of options to choose from. It’s well worth a visit!

What a nice find. Pizza places are a dime dozen, but this one stands out. There are a few reasons for this. It is a warm and welcoming environment that greets you on arrival. The lighting is perfect and the mood is enhanced by the fire lanterns and other tasteful attention to detail. The staff is extremely friendly and the owner of the business is hands on helping out and attending to customers Most importantly, is the quality of the pizzas. And they are excellent. Thin base, fresh ingredients and not over loaded. Class pizzas in fact. I had the capers, anchovies fresh tomato. This is one of my favourites and not many pizza places do this. I can honestly say this is one of the best I have had. I will definitely come back here. The ambience is perfect for a quiet, quality meal with a special one or a group of friends.

Giving away details about your favourite pizza place is a bittersweet experience — on the one hand I want everyone to enjoy amazing food but on the other, popularity can kills quality and accessibility. That said, the team at Pizza Moncur create such wonderful food that I just want them to be around for ever — and hence why I recommend them. Situated on Moncur Road next to the flower store you’ll find this hole in the wall pizza place. The staff are every friendly and you have a choice to sit inside the small front areas of the restaurant or out in the garden courtyard. May I recommend the outdoor setting for its ambience — it’s intimate and beautiful. The menu is amazing and I can actually recommend EVERYTHING! My favourite is the anchovy pizza. Its superb — white anchovies with lilliput capers, vine ripened tomatoes, olives, oregano & chilli oil — yum yum yum yum yum. Thinking about it makes me drool. Pizzas cost between 18 — 26 dollars, but I think its worth it. The ingredients are super fresh and you really feel like this pizza is being made from love. Mon Coeur — means my heart and I can tell you this special pizza place has a BIG place in my heart! Check it out and find your own favourite — you won’t regret it
