Perhaps I was wrong by not coming for lunch and getting a sandwich but I was a bit disappointed by breakfast. On paper, all of the choices sound fantastic– One friend got the Egyptian breakfast beans, smoked eggplant, labna, fried egg with flatbread while the other two of us got the Mushrooms, feta, avocado, poached egg, salsa verde with toast. The Egyptian breakfast was unbalanced and had too much of a vinegary taste for any of our liking, while they forgot to include the avocado in the other breakfast(yet still charged us for). The shining star of breakfast were the fresh pastries– perhaps come here for one of those or else hold off for lunch?

I always come here for lunch whenever I’m in town. Consistently good food! Love the vegetarian sandwich!

So pleased these guys are open on weekends now, as I’d been hearing about them for ages from friends — but working in Sydney made it impossible to visit. On my first trip I sampled the slow-cooked lamb sandwich with sweet potato, rocket, mustard and caramelised onion. Great combination of flavours and very filling. Not a bad latte, either. Service was a bit frazzled but friendly on a busy Sunday lunchtime — my bread request got a bit mixed up and we had to wait quite a while to order.

So good. Maybe a little pricey, but the quality and service more than makes up for it. Definitely try the orange cake; it was incredible. Had an omelet salad and it was delicious. The sandwiches aren’t like the ones you can get at the deli down the street and that’s exactly why I went. Must try.
