This place has a good vibe and I’m sure its location is handy for those that live nearby but I’m sad to say that we won’t be back. Hubs and I went for breakfast and suffered a series of frustrations. First up, we knew the service there can be slow so we wanted to order a coffee and get that started while we looked at the menu. No, you’re not allowed to do that, you must order the food and coffee at the same time. A clunky start, but never mind we pressed on. We ordered and paid at the counter, which took a while because the cashier had to load the price of every item individually with a public holiday surcharge. Then after what seemed like a long wait, my food arrived but there was no sign of the other dish. So I started to eat(alone) thinking hubs would get his soon but by the time it arrived I was nearly finished. The mince on toast eventually turned up but it was cold in the middle so we took it back and asked them to give it a little blast in the microwave. Ten minutes later it still hadn’t returned to the table so we cancelled it, got our money back and left. The food was okay and the coffee decent, the staff are friendly and it seems to be a popular oasis in a quiet suburb. The problem is that it seems the food is cooked off-site, frozen and then heated up in a microwave oven. There is only one microwave and to get from frozen to hot would take about ten minutes so the kitchen can only produce one hot meal every ten minutes. It’s a strange set up for a busy place and if the owners don’t want to pay for a cook and a kitchen, they should probably fork out for another microwave oven.

Not a fan of the coffee, they seem to make it with a lot of care but not to my taste. The cold brew is great. Very simple food menu that is great for a quick stop in for lunch on the go. As the shop is open patio style, it was a bit too hot to eat there in summer.

Great coffee but fairly limited menu. Hot in summer as all outdoor. Food is fresh and the style is casual. Good for a casual Sunday brunch and inexpensive too

My favorite coffee brothers Windsor shop is the perfect lazy breakfast or afternoon hangout for a drink and something to eat. It’s a cosy little place perfect for a group or by yourself

[insert suburb] «moms» busily planning a charity event, a business meeting and the general clunk and steam sounds of a café nook and I am set at Brother Espresso’s latest family member, a kiosk in leafy Windsor. It’s quaint, charming and has the feel of dining on someone’s back patio. It’s a quasi lunch for one when I visit and my avocado and Persian fetta is fresh and filling. And for $ 7 it is realistically priced. It’s one of the best avo on toasts I’ve had in sometime. The coffee is pitch perfect. They serve two blends: Brother Espresso House Blend and Fifth Battery Seasonal Blend. I’ll pleed ignorance and hang my head when I tell you I’m not sure which I drank on this visit. The best bit? Tucked away in suburbia its quiet and hidden away from the masses. For now. I have no doubt it won’t be long before this nook is a bustling weekend hot spot for breakfast goers, caffeine fiends and the social set.
